NaNoWriMo?

Are you guys ready? I was not planning on doing this, but in going through my HD I found plot ideas that I came up with last year. I think I might go for it. Im scared though. Only a few days left.

Have you guys been working on plots or characters or outlines?

All I have so far is a plot.

i think i've decided that i don't have time for nanowrimo this year. unfortunately, my gpa can't take another blow.

Yeah, it's much better to take care of school first. Im just scared that It will be a waste of time. Sometimes, Im such a perfectionist, my motivation is sapped, and I just give up. I was very excited last year, this year, Im not.

awww, owl, next year....
i've changed my mind and i'm gonna do it, though my schedule is crazy! well, i don't plan on winning, just want to use this time as a motivation to write. Exciting, there're heaps of people out there who have even busier schedule than me doing nano.

I'm doing it! I can't write for peanuts. But my friend who writes a lot is doing it, and is asking around for people to do it. Since my grades won't take a hit, and I have HEAPS of spare time, I figured hey why not! (though I'll miss like 5 days of writing due to a school camp -_-) My story may be awful but thats just too bad! At least I'll have written a novel! And my english teacher will possibly flip at the fact we are writing this (though most likely not) I'm trying to form a plot... but I just heard about this last night so... @_@ for me, this thing starts tommorow!

Heres my plot/idea of what I'm going to do now:

Basically, I'm going to interpret revelation in the world of Christia! so, the end of the world will happen, but its taking place in Christia. Okay, not very original, but oh well It will be based on a group who are in the Elven forests, where the persecution is huge. The main character will be a prohpetess.... anyway, they all decide to try and reach Zarkiara as a place of shelter. But, the borders are heavily guarded, and its on the other side of christia, so good luck to them...

Yeah, I'm gonna do it this year. I did it in 2003 as well. That was interesting, being I was taking 18 hours in college as well.

wow 2000 words in? That's fabulous! It was 12 here two hours ago, and I may have 40 words. Im just not feeling my writing right now. I hope tomorrow is easier. I think after I rest a bit it will be.

i only just heard about it yesterday and signed up. i have an idea and ive started. but what do u do exactly? is it just writing for 4 weeks and trying to get to 50,000 words by the end of november and then submitting what you've done at the end? is that all u do? coz im abit confused lol...

Yes, that's just about it. Some people use this time to purge their ideas, they aren't so interested in getting to the 50,000 as in getting a quality piece of writing, while there are others who want both!
The Nanowrimo forums are a good place to go to enjoy the ideas and encouragement of other writers.

I've not started writing yet. I have other stuff I've got to do today. Yet, almost 1700 words per day if you want to reach the goal of 50,000 words!

Well, my schedual has been upped recently. Here it is the end of the year at school. This means EXAMS! My two maths entrance exams are this week (one is already over with *phew* but I don't know how I went ) and one test today which I've been studying like mad for (health, learnt all the muslces in the body last night!) AND I've got a job! My one free day, sunday, is now not-so-free. Not only is it the only day I can spend with my friends outside of school, but now I have a job on that day too, which is a 4-9 job. Oh well
