You might be interested in the Desert Fathers. They produced lots of writings beginning pretty early, from around the 3rd century. I don't know them well enough to recommend anything specific, but here's a Wiki page for a little overview.

I have been reading Interior Castles by St. Teresa of Avila. Can anyone recommend any more? The older the better.
Seeking mystical christianity is not in line with forum rules. But rather than report this thread, I would just ask you, how does this topic help you in your search of the christian faith?
non-Christians are encouraged to ask questions about those aspects of the Christian faith which seem hard to understand

If your search is for old writings by christian fathers, I would recommend a book by John of Damascus, written around the time of the Umayyad, 735AD, around the time when the koran was taking a written form. John of Damascus' father was actually in service of the Umayyad administration placing John squarely on the scene when islam was taking shape. His book's title might be a little strong, Heresy of the Ishmaelites in his work, Book of Heresies.
