All additional info you gave in this thread suggests exactly what I explained: you expect people to decide up front to believe or disbelieve in Yigo (or mate-in-three), before investigating the issue.

Your question implies that belief or disbelief is a mere choice which is not informed by observation, study and investigation.

This is not how I reason. I reserve judgement on belief until I have enough data to form an informed conclusion - all the while leaving the door open for additional data to change my mind.

Such a reasoning process is not reflected in your question. Which, to me, renders your question pointless and useless.

Buddhists often believe in a sort of god that is everywhere, they just don't personify it. Their god is existence, in a way. It is difficult to explain to those unfamiliar with the different Buddhist sects.

I've also noticed it tends to be very individualistic at some levels (like all religions).

I cant really say I disagree with you on that point. I sort of have that same reaction toward Scientology and Gutheology. I don't really have lot of patience for it anymore. Bad dogma is just bad dogma. No matter how you try to dress it up with lipstick, it's still just a bad dogma pig with lipstick.
