• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The question may be simple, but not very many people believe it is just a question.
I could be wrong, but I think even psychiatrists would agree that if you don't believe something exists, it will be harder to find than someone who knows it exists.

IOW, not believing something can create a mental block that impairs even the empirical senses.

Kinda like how you consider evolution to be garbage, therefore you are mentally blocking yourself from any evidence to the contrary? I can see that.

I'll admit it though.

But even my challenge threads can't budge you "honest and morally-upright people."

You assume that there are only two stages of belief: believing and not believing. There is a third stage: being unsure. Many people who don't believe in something have reasons for doing so, and simply did not assume it.

Because your challenges aren't particularly well made or thought out :p

They fall apart so easily that people can't treat them seriously, because often the question they center on is flawed.

No kidding?

They try to push me into that category, and I refuse to budge.

Now all they can do is mock & ridicule our faith; and that's fine with me.

They mocked and ridiculed Jesus -- what makes me any better?

Meaning you know better than to answer them.

That's your assessment -- not mine.

We do answer them you dingus  you just don't seem to realize that. We answer your questions by showing how you aren't asking the right thing to begin with.

His "challenges" usually involve some kind of pitfall or trick, and when people refuse to be bamboozled he gets upset. Even though the questions are answered, they aren't answered the way he wants them answered.

If they are, the answers are embedded in a wall of text, in which the questioner has to guess at what the questionee is saying.

In other words, the tactic is to yak about it until either a mistake is made on the part of the questioner, or the point is diluted like it was a homeopathic medicine.

In any event, if the question is answered at all, it usually comes in the form of some cryptic verbose ridicule.

The ridicule isn't cryptic. It is pretty blatant. The questions you ask sound to us like the question "what is god's gender" would sound to you with the context that if you can't answer it "god isn't real", and if you can answer it "then you are still wrong".

In your opinion, who is more apt to find Yigo:

  1. Someone who believes Yigo exists.
  2. Someone who believes Yigo doesn't exist.
As an added bonus, who is more apt to pronounce Yigo correctly?
Answer: Both people have the same probability of finding something that does not exist - that probability is 0.
