For the last couple of years I've not gardened because I was working a lot. Now that I'm off on the weekends I'm going to resurrect my flower garden. I have herbs, mint, hosta and lots of different flowers.

My Daddy. He was the best father in the world. I admired his faith in God, his love for his family and his work ethic. He was the most stubborn person I knew (see where I get it?). Most other men pale in comparison to my Dad. I hope my girls can admire some of the same things in me that I saw in my father.

We have so much rain today that we have flood a warnings. LOL. Now you know where my head is at.

We need the rain here but alas, sunshine. The farmer's have postponed planting soybeans because it is so dry.

If I could, I'd give you some of ours. We'd been droughting for the past 5 years, last year being the worste, and now....flooding. I think my own garden is turning into vegetable soup as we speak.

I'm off and running. Ironically, I am taking the kids to swimming lessons -indoor pool of course- but today the theme is clearly "water". Have a great day (and I'm sure you've noticed....you are still the only one checking the FTBs!)

Mostly slacks. It must be pretty special for me to wear a dress or a skirt. (I'm a tomboy though and through)
