My turn!! (2)

Do you have Sunday dinner plans? I'll be making a penne pasta in a simple pomodoro sauce tossed with grape tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella cheese. Maybe a nice glass of Pinot Noir or Sangviovese. Simple but yummy!!

That dinner sounds good. Can David and I join you?

We don't have dinner plans tonight per se. We are packing him up for the move to Delaware so it's been kinda harried around here.

OK - now I don't mean this to be a morbid question, but . . . . assuming that all family members are safe, what one thing would you take with you if you had to evacuate your house in an emergency (i.e. housefire)?

(Since most people say photographs, assume they're ok and choose something else!)

A wooden rocking chair that was my Mom's when she was younger.

Where do you get your news? (newspaper, tv, radio, online?)

What is one of your favorite "spare time" activities (i.e. reading, gardening, watching tv)?

If you're a tv watcher, which do you prefer - reality tv (Survivor, American Idol), sitcoms (no examples - don't watch them), dramas (L&O, CSI) or how to (i.e. HGTV, Food Network)? Or do you watch the older shows (Cosby, MASH, Bonanza) on Nick at Nite and/or TV Land?

Where in Delaware will you be? I've been to the Rehobeth Beach (?sp) area once - it was beautiful. Will you be near the ocean?

I mostly get my news online. It seems the network news is becoming pretty sensational.

I love to read. I usually have a few books going at once. I don't have cable at home so most of my tv watching is whatever I can get off the antennae. I do love Survivor though. M*A*S*H has to be my all time favorite tv program. I wish I could see more re-runs of that.

I've lived all my life in Delaware. We are living in Millsboro. David is moving to DE from Colorado now that we are married. Rehoboth is only about 15 miles away from me. I've been a beach bum all my life, now that I'll soon retire I think I'll be spending a lot more time in the summer there.

What comment or conversation has had a great impact on you?
In my 7th grade Science class I had a teacher that made a great impact on my life with one statement. His name was Lemuel Johnson and anyone that had him for a science teacher would remember the same thing that I do. If anyone was misbehaving in class, we would all have to write:

"Man's mind enables him to think and reason."

a million times. At the time it was nothing more than a pain in the butt but the older I got the more it made a lot of sense.

4. When someone says rude or mean things and then say "I was only kidding".

You know, I didn't think of that, but that's a good one - I know people who do that and think they're really funny. I'm rarely, if ever, amused.
