My Testimony isn't long or dramatic but as my pastor says, Testimonies from people whom were saved before they entered a sinful lifestyle are just as great as those who were saved FROM sinful lifestyles.

It started when I was 14. Actually, it started when I was in the 2nd Grade. My grandmother, who worked at a dry cleaner, took me to a church that one of her customers went to. Very quickly my parents became interested in this church and joined. After a while they stopped going, which ment that I did to. I had a friendship with the Pastor's son and off and on when we did go I would hang around him, but we didn't go regularly. My grandmother died in 1988 and so we went even less. Well when I was 14 I decided to spend more time with my friend who was the pastor's son. I also decided that in doing so I needed to attend church with him. They had no trouble coming and getting me for church so I started getting picked up for church every sunday. It was durring this time that I came to the understanding that there was more to going to heaven then just "being good" and I was on the quest to find out what it was. See the bible says the gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing. So I didn't quite understand it all. Well this carried on until I turned 15 in 1993.
One day, not long after my 15th birthday in october of 1993 I was in the back yard painting a shutter for the windows. While I was painting I remembered that there was a fish fry at the church that night, so I ran to tell my parents and then called my friend for a ride. I went to the fishfry and ate. There that evening was a young person our age who visited from time to time. He said the church down the street was putting on a progressive play called "the fate". Basically it was a play where each scene was in a different room and you went from room to room watching each scene. So we all piled in to my friend's brother's car who was the only one at the time who could drive and went.
It was very dramatic.
It depicted two young men, again around my age who went to a party. One was a Christian and one wasn't. After the party both young men died in a car accident.

The first scene after that was beautiful and dramatic at the same time. It showed the young Christian entering the gates of heaven and explaining to Jesus why it was right to let him in, and Jesus let him in. When the unsaved boy came to Jesus he could not give him the answer and two figures in black came to take him away much to his protest.
The next scene was the funeral scene and the Christian's family was sad but they were comforted in the knowledge of their boy's salvation.
However there was no comfort for the other boy's family. The next scene was also beautiful. It showed the Christian boy at the feet of Christ casting crowns at his feet and praising him with angels all around.
The next scene however was very simple. It was simply a room with no light that was very hot. This was to depict Hell where there is no light. However there was no way to make it THAT hot so it was just a demonstration.
After that the person that was taking us around from room to room explained the whole thing.
That night the Lord finally let me see it in a way that made it clear. I finally understood that Jesus died on the cross to pay for the free gift of salvation. And if I simply asked for that gift he would give it to me. So that night I asked Jesus to give me that free gift and save me. And he did! He kept his promise of salvation! I must have seen that play 10 times before it was all over. You could go through as many times as you wanted.

I have no doubt that if I had not gotten saved at 15 I would have been a much different person. I'm glad the Lord saved me from going down the path of the world and led me down his! An early lesson I learned was God can use two churches for a purpose even when those two churches don't know. Even fish fries can be used of him!
