• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not sure I fully understand your comment. It sounds like you're saying the comments I receive are because I go places I shouldn't be in. I'm responding to that, and if that's not what you meant I apologize.

The instances in which I have been cat-called, harassed, or touched have been in crowded, densely populated areas. Examples: walking around the busy streets of New York or Key West, walking around the Mall of America, or at theme parks. I dress fashionably and modestly, but I have a more womanly figure that I cannot (and do not) go out of my way to disguise.

However....

Even if these things would have been happening to me in a bar or any other seemingly unsavory place, it does not make it my fault. We are all responsible for our own actions and harassment or unwanted touching is NEVER okay, no matter what the harasser says illicted that response. I am really disturbed when I see that kind of mentality.

Step 1: Put trench coat on. (Optional: style with fedora)
Step 2: Set camera on "timer"
Step 3: Set camera on flat surface and hit "shoot"
Step 4: Run and get into frame of camera before flashes.
Step 5: Success.

So.... You want me to post a pic of myself, eh?... :p

Not likely to happen anytime soon.

We did not have a meeting of the minds on this one. I was trying to get the point across that your mode of dress is very much one that leads any sane man in a far different direction than rude and crude calls.

I totally agree re unwanted touching, particularly in the way it was meant. I'm assuming grabbing yuor arm when you fail to notice a New York cab running a red when you were about to enter the street is excluded.

I did not mean to imply that you were going places you should not. Closer to the opposite. That in many perfectly reasonable places your choices would make you seem to sweet and (sort of) innocent to be there. I'll count some busy streets in good parts on New York in that list.

But I can see how you very reasonably could have inferred that I was saying you were going where you shouldn't.

I think you mean bear

LOL From what Ive heard of them, they are very loyal and protective animals. They are very protective of children. But let a stranger come around, or let someone act aggressively toward a member of the family, and they will rip them apart.

That's a good trait to have. Part of dogs with coats like that is it would be much better for them in a colder climate. My family has shelties who love being outside in winter.

Yeah. I may have to retire to some place like Montana.
