Hey guess what? I agree! However, I really think you should be more careful to say that "God hasn't showed himself" if you were me, you'd be wiser not to come to that conclusion, I know from personal experience.

Relate to my example, given that Newton and Galileo were hated by the church, they still believed in a creator, their works have inspired allot of modern day sciences, I'd say that's quite allot actually.

You don't believe the universe to be consistent, that means that you believe there was a "beginning" involved, if there was a beginning, you don't think that something outside of the universal realm was the cause?
