I can describe the process, however much of cheap parody it'll be in my attempt to follow the pre-processed pattern of John Loftus:

Essentially, go around challenging [but euphemistically calling it "encouraging"] others who haven't tried chocolate cake to expand their cake horizans and, thereby, try all kinds of cake.​

Of course, as the insidious Chocolate Cake lover that I am, I expect a lotof folks to eventualy "come out" saying they love it too and that they love it best.

As for John Loftus, he is an atheist, and he is the one who has proposed his Outsider Test for Faith, a test that basically prompts Christians to avoid asserting any epistemic justification for their "faith" until they've engaged many other religious people of other World Religions who also claim veracity for their own respective faiths.

I'm just offering a brief caricature of it.

Guess what all all three have in common.

I do get it...way more than you know. Christians simply do not have a monopoly on "perfect peace or fullness of joy or full knowledge" or any of that stuff.

You do realize that I have a lot of books on just about all positions on this stuff, right? Like ......ALL.... positions. And this issue was part of my Master's Degree study too.

From what you've said, it seems to me that this could be taken as a way of saying, "If you weren't a Christian and someone said this to you, would you find it a convincing argument for Christianity?"

I mean, I can't tell you how many times I've seen Christians use arguments to convince non-Christians that only work if you already accept the central tenets of Christianity, such as the Bible being an accurate account. Of course, many non-Christians don't hold such tenets to be true, rendering the argument entirely unconvincing.

Thus far I've watched the first 15 minutes or so of vid, and the flow of thought within the participants mindsets fall more or less in the typical patterns that I studied at uni. Nothing out of the ordinary there, until you get to the appearance of Jerry Coyne, a biologist who is a Philosophical Naturalist, and very ardent materialist Evolutionist. It's kind of funny they picked him rather than somone more amiable like Kenneth R Miller or Francis Collins who are instead Methodological Naturalists and, both Catholic. But...I still have 45 more minutes to watch. I'm looking forward to hearing more of the comments and viewpoints of the participants.

We moved to another town, and my parents decided they'd rather go to a "moderate" Presbyterian Church. So, we went to those sorts of churches from time to time after age 5, just about the time the world set its sights on corrupting me.
