The false doctrine of the inspiration of scripture is an invention of the men in the priesthood who rely on it for their authority.

Anyone who study's the earth can see that there have been millions and billions of "floods" and mudslides that preserve the fossilized remains that we find today by simply digging them up. The dirt beneath our feet was once alive.

Unable to trace their bloodlines back to the presumptive "first two humans", the Hebrew priest class decided to drown the whole world in its wickedness to fill in the......... gap......... between themselves and ancient Mesopotamian lore about Adam.

Finalized in Babylon, after loosing their Temple and their nation, the priest class went to the other extreme in creating a comprehensive story of origins of the Israelites and for an Israelite audience. Like Lucifer, they elevated themselves high above their Semitic cousins whom they consider "dogs".

*The evolved earth was populated when Adam arrived in ancient history. Cain fears people out away from the garden.

*The "crafty beast" was already fallen when he approached Eve. When then did he fall?

We were to start out fresh with the new religion of The Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven taught and lived by Jesus. He warned us NOT to sew the new cloth onto the old, but most of his early followers were Jews who naturally tried to connect his religion to their old religion.

"Common sense" is a laughable claim, and there is no "obvious evidence" of a flood. There is only misunderstanding of observations by the uneducated. For example fossils are not evidence of a flood they are evidence against it. If there was one worldwide flood we would see a completely different fossil record.

But please bring up your evidence. If it is proper evidence you might convince some people. If it is in error people can explain your errors to you. It is a win win situation.

Nope, wells can only siphon up thirty feet. You do not know how wells work either. In wells a pump is placed in the bottom of a well. I do have personal experience with that. I can provide links on well pumps if you wish.

As to your question, it could be either way. It is fable after all. Whatever the writer wanted that is the way it would be.

For the exact same reason that you reject a Flat Earth you should also reject the Genesis story.

In the land of spiritual make-believe, so much of what they know isn’t so. The story of Noah was based on a localized flood legend in Mesopotamia which was deliberately exaggerated by the Israelites when they converted their secular history into a miraculous fiction.
