A basic nature of God is to Create, which is why evolution has never stopped. God can not stop Creating.

When God can create in a matter of moments, why take millions of years.

The nature of God is to create. He can’t stop creating, for ever and ever and ever...always creating. That’s what God does.

Gave up on creatio ex nihilo though, did He? did He decide the universe met its quota of mass/energy?

This universe? Quite possibly.

Any answer yet on what stops evolution at a specific point?

Are you asking if God gave up on the Big Bang?

did He decide the universe met its quota of mass/energy?
You did make me grin.

I have no idea if God had that kind of thought. It is interesting that the Universe has found a balance within itSelf. It's a good thing too, or we wouldn't be here.

Never seen Christ stated as the Light of God, it is stated in The Bible that Christ is the light of the world
I think the Light of God becomes clearer when sitting in the Heart of Christ. I have no idea why the Biblical writers limited Christ in that way.

Hildegard of Bingen wrote quite abit about the Living Light of God. And there are others, but more of the mystical bent.

And as a side note: Sufies talk about Christ as the Light of the Universe. Being Panentheist, that Light of God that Christians experienced in the Heart of Christ is where Sufies might go to explore the mystery found in the meeting of spirit and matter. They would say things like matter can not exist with out spirit. With spirit being God.

The reason why (i believe) the inspired writers of The Bible did not use "light of God" to describe The Messiah. Is that this makes The Messiah lesser than God, because The Messiah is God, i believe He could not be described as the light of God.

I was inspired to make this challenge by someone who said: If you accept gravity as a fact you should by the same standards accept evolution as a fact.

Thoughts?

I'd say that's a fair comparison as far as the observations of each go.

Post classical physics, we accept that apples still fall from trees.
And after becoming skeptical of Darwinism, people still accept that genetic apples fall not far from theirs..

i.e. Both observations can be recognized as design features, not design mechanisms- tempting as it may be to make that theoretical extrapolation.
