Does this mean that all of this Creation is in the end something that God is dreaming up?
It's winding down.

You know ... entropy and all.

Romans 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

perhaps. But I note that so many people of faith speak so strongly for God almost as if they themselves are inerrant.

I mean I see your quote from Genesis which is fine. It's kinda like me saying "I stopped work on Friday". Does that mean I didn't come back in on Monday? Not necessarily. I mean we KNOW new animals have shown up over time. We see it in the rock record and we even see it in the petri dish daily! Diseases mutate and change and become new things.

If I showed you an animal that was killed by a chemical "X" and then two days later that same animal was now IMMUNE to chemical "X" wouldn't you find that amazing? A change? A new feature? Dare I say a "new creation"?

Seems to me the more pious someone is the more likely they are to assume they sit at the Right Hand of the Father.

Honestly, I have no idea how God can be winding down. My brain doesn't work that way. Nor in my experience does the presence of God.

Your entropy of God can take a Hike!

Here ... let me interpret that for you, and hopefully turn a light bulb on.

Interpretation:

Romans 8:20 For [God's creation] was made subject to [entropy], not willingly, but by reason of [the Fall],
21 Because [God's creation] itself also shall be delivered from [entropy] into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation [is falling apart] until now.

You speak the language of panentheism.

But even so, I'm sure panentheists accept the Second Law of Thermodynamics, do they not?

If the universe is your god, then science says your god is falling apart at the seams.

(Not to mention getting fatter and fatter.)

Always gives me a chuckle when creos trump the 2LoT, but completely ignore 1LoT.

This is why creos can’t do science, they literally don’t know what it is.

So are you saying that we can no longer make ice in our refrigerators? You DO realize a LOT of things happen that result in a decrease in entropy locally, correct? We have a sun out there pumping a lot of energy into our system.

Yes universally entropy increases, but locally it can decrease. It happens literally all the time.

If one wishes to talk about the Second Law one should get a firm grasp on what it does and does not mean.

So the universe isn't headed for thermal equilibrium?

I'm talking about the universe as a whole.

Ever heard of maximum entropy?

Does the Spirit of God hold to the Second Law of Thermodynamics?
Does the Light of God hold to Second Law of Thermodynamics?

The creature is not God. Your barking up the wrong tree. :)

Does the Spirit of God hold to the Second Law of Thermodynamics?
Ask your credentialed cohorts.

Or better yet, test it yourself.

Just put an ice cube on your kitchen table and watch entropy in action.

Well I don't know what the "Light of God" is in panentheism, but if you meant the electromagnetic spectrum, then yes.
