That’s inaccurate. In this context it is ‘change in allele frequency over time’."Evolution is a word that tries to define the effect that Life has on matter."
Why is it not possible for God to have used evolution to create the different lifeforms that we see in the world today and what wee have seen in the past and fossils of?
So do you think lifeforms have souls, or are they just chemistry?Oh, mate, I do not care what you have to say at all. You're offering nothing to the thread and are in no way at all answering the OP question in the slightest. Not even making the attempt to answer it.
You just waffle. That's all you do.
So do you think lifeforms have souls, or are they just chemistry?
Whether evolution can be used to produce lifeforms , depends on your answer To that.
Souls are an important question to Christians.
even Dawkins refers to it somewhere!
... because the Bible HAS to be read in the most literally rigid way possible, and when we do this, we KNOW that evolution could never have been the vehicle by which God created everything.
That is true.
Thats the problem with most discussions on evolution. That has nothing to do with the question I asked in the OP!
Thats the problem with most discussions on evolution.
They are over simplistic and so essentially meaning less.
What do you mean by evolution?
- someone said “allele change “
- common descent?
- progressive small change ( the darwinian meaning)
- survival of fittest?
- chemical? Biological?
- cell structure complexity increase?
- does it include the first cell?
As I said asking whether God used “ evolution “( undefined) for ” lifeform “ ( undefined ) change is a safe question to answer yes( or no, since it has no defined meaning.
If it’s made you consider what YOU mean by the words evolution and life form , then the semantics have been worthwhile. This is what I mean by you wanting to only argue semantics. You're not being clever by going "Oh, but evolution means so many things..."
You're not going to make the attempt to actually answer the OP question, which for someone so smart should have been obvious for you to understand, so you really should just not bother since I'm not going to respond to you in a positive way if this is how you keep going on.
If it’s made you consider what YOU mean by the words evolution and life form , then the semantics have been worthwhile.
Children are now taught all life came from “ evolution” as opposed To “ creation”
its Time that statement was analyzed.
My point is since death only came into the world once Adam sinned, all those things before Adam would have had to have lived for how many millions of years? It might imply it but evolution does not require for things to die. Only that there is reproduction with error.
so @Warden_of_the_Storm - this is a response that is surely off topic in the context of not addressing whether it is possibke God uses “ evolution”
Sure, God can use evolution. See Adam, Eve, and Evolution.so @Warden_of_the_Storm - this is a response that is surely off topic in the context of not addressing whether it is possibke God uses “ evolution”
But He chose not to. See Genesis 2.
Just so you know, your link doesn't work. It's just blue text.
I know.
I changed it to blue to correspond with Tony's post.
Ah, gotcha.
Wow.
There are three times more sheep than people in Wales.
there is but one context ... GodThat’s inaccurate. In this context it is ‘change in allele frequency over time’.
