Fine -- don't believe it.

But if you don't ... and you conclude that Earth2 was inhabited at one time ... you would be wrong.

Rightfully wrong.

I have a napkin signed by William Shatner. I didn't see him sign it, and the writing looks a lot like my husband's writing, but the writing says, "I am William Shatner, and I signed this."

So that proves it was the Shatman, doesn't it?

Tomorrow, God creates another planet ex nihilo that's a mirror image of this one, except without people on it.

Skyscrapers, automobiles, job applications on desks, cell phones showing calls having been made, stop lights turning green-yellow-red, ships at sea with logs stating when they left and where they're going, newspapers reporting the news, etc. and so on.

And, of course, documentation to the effect of: "I created this planet ex nihilo as a mirror image of Earth1 as Earth1 existed yesterday. Don't be fooled by thinking this planet was inhabited."

Deception or no deception?

Note: Yes, the documentation would contradict the documentation found in the Bibles on Earth2; and yes, Earth2 could be considered a modified form of Last Thursday ... but humor me for the sake of understanding the point I'm making.

If not deception, I would at best grant that God has provided conflicting information to Earth 2. Its inhabitants could not be blamed for failing to accept the truth of the documentation provided without definitive evidence that it is to be believed over all other observations. If they do not have such evidence, then they have been tricked into rejecting the truth. If that's not deception, it's at least orc mischief.

Indeed... One must keep in mind that there are several mutually exclusive pieces of documentation flying around about Earth 2, and no valid reason to believe any one over the others.
