Tomorrow, God creates another planet ex nihilo that's a mirror image of this one, except without people on it.

Skyscrapers, automobiles, job applications on desks, cell phones showing calls having been made, stop lights turning green-yellow-red, ships at sea with logs stating when they left and where they're going, newspapers reporting the news, etc. and so on.

And, of course, documentation to the effect of: "I created this planet ex nihilo as a mirror image of Earth1 as Earth1 existed yesterday. Don't be fooled by thinking this planet was inhabited."

Deception or no deception?

Note: Yes, the documentation would contradict the documentation found in the Bibles on Earth2; and yes, Earth2 could be considered a modified form of Last Thursday ... but humor me for the sake of understanding the point I'm making.

I would not feel deceived. And I have 5 days off work starting 2 hours ago, so this place would be an nice Vay-cay. Zero social website activity.

The first 2 sentences state facts, in this story. The 3rd has documentation commenting on those facts.

We don't have enough/any information to show there was intent to conceal or misrepresent the truth by the god (except the mind readers).

:clap:I made this challenge just for you to spend your time off!

(Not really. ;))

It's about 90 so I'm taking the motor home to the beach this afternoon, where it's cooler-by-the-lake.

COOL!

Yes, the Creator Yahweh Created the Earth to BE INHABITED, fully supplying (before creation planning and preparing completely) ALL THAT IS EVER NEEDED FOR SALVATION ETERNALLY
of
a few people.

Sad, huh ? The other people ? They had a chance to be saved, but rejected God.

....what God? There's a God?? Why would anyone reject a God if he existed? Now, if only there was one who cared enough to make itself known....

Merry Christmas!
:D lol! Happy Solstice! After all, the Pagans were celebrating it first... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yule

or:

'Happy Kwanzaa'
'Happy Ridvan'
'Merry Visakaha Day'
'Eid Mubarak'; 'Happy Eid'; 'Congratulations; May every year bring more good things to you.'
'Mahavir Jayanti'
the Japanese just offer: 'Omedeto'
'Happy Hanukkah'
'Chusok'
Sikh:
  • Congratulations on this holy day.
  • May you be blessed by the Guru.
  • Greetings on this holy day.
Tibetans:
Happy Losar - To each other they say, “lo sar bey tashi delek.” This means, “I wish you prosperity and good will.” Using the English translation as a greeting would be appropriate, too.

For Hindus, the greeting is the same for each of these occasions:
  • Makara Samkranti/Pongal
  • Maha Shivaratri
  • Holi
  • Ramanavami
  • Janmashtami
  • Durga Puja
  • Diwali
GREETING: (Hindu) God bless you with prosperity and happiness;
I wish you happiness and prosperity.

The Chinese don't have a Christmas like most of the world either, so take your pick of any of the following to celebrate in lieu:
  • Lantern Festival
  • Respect for Ancestors Day (Ch’ing-ming)
  • Dragon Boat Festival
  • Ghost Festival
  • Mid-Autumn Moon Festival

You're claiming all those have cause-and-effect evidence for their gods, and yet you're still an atheist!?

What gives?

In another thread, you didn't like another poster being described as dishonest.

Having read Bugeyedcreepy's post, and your response, then this looks to me like a very clear mispresentation of what Bugeyedcreepy was saying. Either through your error, or because you have acted dishonestly and deliberately misrepresented the post.

Which?

Of course it does.

That's why "Dishonest AV" is a YEC in Embedded Age clothing -- or a hundred other things I claim I'm not.

I can't even post in the numbers forums without being dishonest, do I?

I have no idea what your answer means.

Could you please tell me in a simple straightforward way whether or not your paraphrase of Bugeyedcreepy's post is accurate/reasonable? And if not, why you paraphrased it in that way?

Have you spoken to any of them? They have as much (if not more) conviction in their faiths than you do in yours. They have their own cause and effect with their own miracles, NDEs and Angel/prophet experiences just as you do for yours. Your religion isn't any more evidenced than theirs is if that's what you're asking...

Given you all make the same unevidenced claims, I'm not making any decision on anything presented. I prefer to have more convincing evidence first.
