AV, I don't commit random stuff I say to memory no matter what. My sentiment regarding that person who drew those pamphlets have been the same for about a decade (when I first encountered his nonsense) so my general statements will most likely hold in a year unless he changes.

Stop playing semantics, because he's absolutely right. And even if he's wrong about Jack Chick's particular stance, the kind of attitudes fg is describing are utterly abominable regardless and are just driving people away from the church.

Well, I think you'll find here that most people are pretty fair-minded when it comes to gender. Female fundamentalists, in my experience, are just as competent at holding atrocious points of view as the males. So there's no need to question your gender, at any rate. Worry about your many other inconsistencies instead

Ohyes. Gender=not important. Met Clirus Cabal? Pop over to fundies say the darndest things and search for her name if you want some really really juicy stuff. Genocide and the like is what we're talking about here. And yes, she's been reported quite thoroughly for that through the years.

Incidentally she's a social darwinist and a creationist at the same time. Claims both are the biblical way. As for me I disagree wholeheartedly on both counts.


Compared to her almost all fundies I've met have been very very nice people.

Funny that, she's not the first social darwinist/creationist I've met. I've actually met quite a few come to think of it.
