  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

So it was back to the drawing board until they got a plane that satisfied scientific paradigms ... correct?

You know ... like the Titanic did?
Do you think we would design better ships if we ignored scientific findings?

No.

Not conforming to true science could be hazardous to one's health.

Ask Marie Curie, who didn't wear the proper protection.
Really bad example, AV1611VET, as usual :p!
Marie Curie and other scientists were unaware of even acute radiation poisoning so no "proper protection" existed to be worn! It was around the time of her death that acute radiation syndrome was recognized. It would be decades more before conditions such as aplastic anemia would be associated with lower levels of radiation.

So it would be ridiculous to think that Marie Curie would be aware of science that did not emerge until after her death.

But today, with protective suits, scientists have conformed to the demands of science, have they not?

Remember the Deepwater Horizon?

Scientists thought they could circumvent Mother Nature by skipping a few security rounds here and there, didn't they?

And now we're drilling for water in the Gulf of Mexico.

Scientists didn't. The greedy corporation did, to save a few bucks. Too bad it ended up costing FAR more than the savings in the end.

No one who ran the corporation was a scientist?

Were any scientists hurt in the explosion?

If so ... why?

You are appealing the heathen deities now? YOU????

We started with scientiest trying to overcome lift, sank the Titanic, poisoned Marie Curie... and now we are at the Deepwater Horizon.

All because of not-true-science.

Well, if you cannot show us where the Bible tells us the correct handling of radioactive matter... perhaps you can show us how the One True Book Of True Science deals with drilling safety?

It means that scientists have to bring their technology up to par with new discoveries, or suffer a reality check.
Those things scientists have to do!

Good thing people like you don't have to... just loudly proclaim that reality can take a hike!

Mother Nature is unforgiving.
Good thing you don't believe in heathen deities then. Just have faith and you can fix leaky oil platforms as well as move mountains by command.

Expecting to use the Bible as a science tool is like expecting to use Bill Gates' diary as a computer manual.

So the answer to my challenge is that we have to conform to science, don't we?

But "we" are real... and science has to conform to reality, doesn't it?

So it could be that the answers to both your questions is both "yes" and "no".

Or it could be that your questions are based on your false ideas, not on anything real and thus inherently flawed.

As I pointed out with Mrs. Curie, history has examples of those who didn't conform to science and paid the price.
