But if it is a full use of their freedom of choice, then God will not deprive them of that freedom of choice. God does not want forced obedience nor robotically induced behavior.

It sounds like one has a reason for providing their fslse testimony ( if you give them half the reward (a shameful "witness") .
And the other sounds like he doesnt want to be involved
