Then the next logical question would be who/what would be capable of such a miracle, other than the Biblical God?
People have asked that question for ages. Here are a few of the possibilities they have imagined:
Vishnu
Hayyi Rabbi
Mbombo
Sidaba Mapu
Pangu
A pink unicorn

Surely you could imagine a lot more options?

No, I can't imagine those either.

No, I can't imagine those either.
Academia expects us to give them equal airtime, despite the fact that academia KNOWS we are monotheists.

But academia doesn't care.

If we're going to give God credit for this or that, we'd better drop our monotheism and give every Thor, Daphne, and Horus equal airtime as well.

I have not studied divine creation to know what sort of evidence it would leave.
That's because you're smart enough to know that you'll die of old age doing it too.

I say there isn't any.

It seems very unruly. Chaotic. Events happening without relation to other events. Its disorder.
Catastrophism on demand -- sounds divine, doesn't it?

God creates an apple ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.

What specific evidence would you use to convince your friend He did this?

I say there isn't any evidence.
If it is an apple then you need testimony & evidence.
Hi, Eddie!

Nice to meet you!

Okay ... let's say I need evidence, as you said.

Give me something.

you used apple to deceit.
replace apple with Law.
Sure.

Let's do that and see what we get:

---

God creates a law ex nihilo into the palm of your hand.

What specific evidence would you use to convince your friend He did this?

I say there isn't any evidence.

The only thing that could remotely be used as evidence is the fact that the amount of mass/energy in the universe was raised accordingly, in violation of physical laws.

But we would have no way of knowing that, since science is myopic.*

* By myopic, I mean science is not omniscient.

You could present the law yourself as evidence, along with your testimony, but your friend would have to accept that fact on faith, not science.

If he didn't accept it, and chose to believe you're wrong, then he, not you, would be the one in the wrong.

So do you agree with me that there is no evidence you can use to convince him, or not?

---

Let's stick win an apple, shall we? ;)

You don't need to show that there is an increase in total energy in the universe. You can put yourself in a box, make the apple in there, and measure the energy in the box and compare it with the energy that was measured entering the box.
