This is a prime example of you being disingenuous. I asked a serious, open-ended question of you, and you reply with a question, a question in which your intent will be to use my answer "against" me, rather than honestly answer the question.

Okay, one of the reasons I'm able to have so much confidence is because, when I got saved, I received benefits:

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Hebrews 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Faith comes by hearing the word of God.

At the point of salvation, many benefits enter your life; including what David calls, 'The joy of my salvation.'

Put another way, Romans 10:13 pulls you in and Hebrews 6:4-5 keeps you in -- or should.

I try to treat my brothers and sisters with as much respect as I can possibly give them.

If a person says he's saved, I'll treat him like he's saved.

If he says, he used to be saved but no longer is, I'll treat him like he's saved, since I believe in Eternal Security.

If he says he speaks in tongues ... well ... that's his belief.

But if he (or she) has to go against a clear-cut passage of Scripture to espouse their belief, then I have trouble with that.
