"All confidence," how are you able to be so confident, as to have zero doubt?
Before I answer that, will you please answer one question (it won't change my answer)?

Didn't you at one time profess to be a Christian?

This is a prime example of you being disingenuous. I asked a serious, open-ended question of you, and you reply with a question, a question in which your intent will be to use my answer "against" me, rather than honestly answer the question.

Yes, I was a committed "true" christian for over thirty years.

Okay, one of the reasons I'm able to have so much confidence is because, when I got saved, I received benefits:

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Hebrews 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

So, you believe this verse in the bible, and you're able to have 100% confidence that the Exodus happened as recorded in the OT.

Is this a fair statement?

So the source of this confidence is because you believe you have been enlightened, and have a heavenly gift?
Make your point, please.

I think I've given you enough material to chew on for awhile.

There's your problem, I'm not attempting to "make a point." I'm asking sincere questions of you. If you don't want to honestly answer, that's ok too.

It's really quite simple.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God.

At the point of salvation, many benefits enter your life; including what David calls, 'The joy of my salvation.'

Put another way, Romans 10:13 pulls you in and Hebrews 6:4-5 keeps you in -- or should.

I'm asking this: So the source of this confidence is because you believe you have been enlightened, and have a heavenly gift?

I'll say YES to that, just to see where you're going with this.

My confidence is probably a gift from God ... I don't know.

So, God has given you a gift, one that allows you to have 100% confidence in the Exodus as literal history as recorded in the OT, fair?

Fair!

(I have a hunch you're gonna tell me their are conflicting censuses. ;))

Relax a little. I have no "agenda," and I've been asking open ended questions to you, no need to panic. ;) This is how real conversation works, try it, you might like it.

So how would you settle a disagreement with another person who also claims to have 100% God given confidence and enlightenment?

That's a good question.

I try to treat my brothers and sisters with as much respect as I can possibly give them.

If a person says he's saved, I'll treat him like he's saved.

If he says, he used to be saved but no longer is, I'll treat him like he's saved, since I believe in Eternal Security.

If he says he speaks in tongues ... well ... that's his belief.

But if he (or she) has to go against a clear-cut passage of Scripture to espouse their belief, then I have trouble with that.

How would I settle the disagreement?

Like my pastor says, 'We'll find out when we get to Heaven.'

Hypothetical; for some reason, you and this person, who both claim to have 100% God given confidence, must reach consensus. How would you attempt this?
As I'm fond of saying in church:

Just like any two adults would -- out in the parking lot.
