Ríabhca smiled tiredly and with lips closed.

"Oh, I've not been here all that long. Maybe 5 minutes or so. I certainly hope so. I'm Ríabhca MacGillycuddy and I've come to join the mutant FBI. That is, if I've come to the right place."

There was a slightly lilting quality to her voice as well as a tendency to elongate her sibilants. This last was due to the unusual structure of her tongue and teeth.

"MacGillycuddy," Ms. Rhodes repeated slowly to herself as though she were trying to figure out if it was familiar or not. "Oh yes! MacGillycuddy. They told me I should be expecting you today and somewhere around here ..." She trailed off as she began rummaging through papers on the desk.

"Here it is. Let's see, hmm," she flipped through the papers. Then she continued in almost a mumble. "It looks like you have already filled out all the information needed, mmhmm, and everything is in order with your files, yep. Okay, you'll all set. Here's the key to your room and a schedule of your classes. There's really no one to give a tour right now but I'm sure you can find another student who would help you find your way around or you can explore the campus on your own. Let's see, I think that's all, hmmm, yeah. Oh uh do you have any questions?"

As the group walked out of the campus gates, Hope's heart started beating a little faster. She hadn't realized how frightened she really was to walk this way again. At least this time she had others with her. She did her best trying to hide her fear. She looked around at the others in the group. Sammy and Jason were a few steps behind the rest. It made Hope a bit nervous, thinking it would be better if they all stuck close together. But then again it might be best to spread out a bit because then it would be harder to be surrounded.

"MacGillycuddy," Ms. Rhodes repeated slowly to herself as though she were trying to figure out if it was familiar or not. "Oh yes! MacGillycuddy. They told me I should be expecting you today and somewhere around here ..." She trailed off as she began rummaging through papers on the desk.

"Here it is. Let's see, hmm," she flipped through the papers. Then she continued in almost a mumble. "It looks like you have already filled out all the information needed, mmhmm, and everything is in order with your files, yep. Okay, you'll all set. Here's the key to your room and a schedule of your classes. There's really no one to give a tour right now but I'm sure you can find another student who would help you find your way around or you can explore the campus on your own. Let's see, I think that's all, hmmm, yeah. Oh uh do you have any questions?"

Riabhca was smiled, mildly amused at Ms. Rhodes's manner. She listened politely, trying not to yawn, as Ms. Rhodes's spoke, nodding where it seemed called for.

Taking the room key and class schedule with another slight smile, "Oh that's alright. I'll just wander around till I find things."

When asked if she had any questions she laughed quietly, "A million and one but I'm sure they'll be answered soon enough."

She started to turn away but thought of something at the last minute and turning back, "Oh, uhm could you point out the direction to the dorms, please?"

"Oh yeah, sure," Ms. Rhodes said with a smile. "It's the building right next to this one, just to the East. The first floor has the commons room and cafeteria as well as some agents' offices, but the dorms start on the second floor."

Andrew stayed sitting on the bench outside of the dorms as he watched the group head off campus for ice cream. As soon as they were all out of sight he was planning to go check to see if Flame had left his room unlocked. Drew doubted it, but he had to check. If he could get in there and find the anklet Jason had taken off, that was all the proof he would need come Monday.

As they walked out the gates everyone was excited about hanging out and telling everyone their favorite icecream.

"I sure hope they have cookies and cream. you know the icecream with crushed oreos. My dad and i used to make that home all the time its my favorite. " Kyler said, probably just as excited as everyone else.


Jason was not as excited though. He was still more concerned about Hope's situation. only he knew just how serious it was. He walked up to hope and wispered in her ear. She must have been jittery cause the look on her face told Jason that she nearly had a heart attack when she saw him standing right behind her. " So where exactly did you see those guys you mentioned earlier. I might know them. "

But the truth was tha Jason really hoped he didn't know them, cuase if they found out that he was working for the FBI, they probably find a way to kill him.

Luna wandered down the corridors of the dorm. She was lost in thought and wasn't paying any attention to her surroundings.

At home, her few friends had seemed to treat her differently. Just a bit, but it was somehow noticeable. It was like they had partly rebuilt the walls that separated her from them. Her parents had still accepted her like they always had, but somehow she began to doubt if that would last.

Luna was making friends slowly, as always. She already considered Katherine as a friend somewhat. She decided to look for Katherine and headed downstairs.

She was glad that Jason had decided to whisper, she didn't want the others to over hear them. Especially now that they were all in a light mood chatting about ice cream.

Hope swallowed and made sure her voice was steady before saying, "a couple blocks farther up I guess. And at least a block over to the left that way." She nodded her head foward and toward the left. "You're not thinking about going looking for them are you?"

She wasn't exactly sure what to think of Jason. Did he want to find out if they were his old gang buddies? Was he up to something? Even though he had suggested to report the guys to the FBI earlier, Hope wasn't completely sure what side he was on.

Ríabhca smiled politely again, "Thank you." That said she tucked the class schedule into her pocket, went over and hefted her bags. Getting the shoulder strap of the large dufflebag into a semi-comfortable position she smiled once more at Ms. Rhodes and headed in the direction of the dorms.

Exiting the building she glanced around to get her barings and then, spotting the right building, headed towards it at a brisk yet fluid pace. Ríabhca continued to look all around her as she walked, trying to memorize the various paths and buildings that she could see.

As she reached the building that would be her home for who knows how long she couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever fit in and make friends here. With one last look around the outside she resettled her bags, squirmed through the doors, and headed up to the second floor dorm area.

Drew had headed into the dorm building, but hesitated in the lobby as he questioned how good idea it was to go stooping around in someone else's room. He wasn't sure if the security camera's were even on anymore if anyone watched them. As he was standing there he was startled by someone walking into the building. His immediate thought was that someone knew what he was up to and was going to stop him.

But it was just a girl with bags. She could be a mind reader, but then most of the students here didn't have much control over their powers. As his mind resolved the issue deciding the girl wasn't out to get him, he wondered if she were new or just coming back from visiting home. It seemed like too many bags for just an overnight trip. It seemed like quite a lot to carry too.

"Uhh hey," he called out to Riabhca. "You need any help carrying those bags or anything?" Occasionally his nice side slipped out before he could stop it.

Hope looked around at the others. Seemed like such a scraggily group of kids all of a sudden. "Let's just say I'd prefer not to find out one way or the other right at the moment."

They were all FBI recruits, but she had to face it that they had only been such for about a week. Sure they had power, but some didn't know how to use it and those that did ... "Afterall, what can I do? Make an unfrozen piece of ice float in water? I don't see how that will do much good against a bunch of thugs. I'm just hoping that such a large group will make them think twice about approaching us just in case we do run into them."

Ríabhca, encumbered by her bags, craned her head around to find who'd spoken. Upon spotting him she smiled, "Uhm, hi. Thanks for offering, they are rather heavy and awkward."

She slid the duffel bag off her shoulder and let it plop to the floor. Rubbing her sore shoulder she smiled gratefully, "I'd really appreciate the help. I've only just arrived. I'm Ríabhca by the way."

"I've only been here a week," he stopped and gave an embarrased smile before adding. "Well, I guess everyone's only been here a week. It's a pretty nice set-up and classes aren't that bad. You know where your room is?"

"I'm Andrew, well everyone calls me Drew," he replied as he hefted the duffle bag off the floor and onto his shoulder.

"I've only been here a week," he stopped and gave an embarrased smile before adding. "Well, I guess everyone's only been here a week. It's a pretty nice set-up and classes aren't that bad. You know where your room is?"

She chuckled slightly in responce. Glancing around and nodding, "It certainly looks like it."

At his question she set her suitcase down and rummaged in her pocket. Fishing out the paper Ms. Rhodes, she glanced at it then handed it to Drew, "That's my room I think."

With a slight grin that actually showed her unusual teeth for a brief moment, "I've no clue where it is. All I was told was that the dorm rooms were on the second floor of this building but," shrugging slightly, "other than that I don't really know where to start."

Drew took the piece of paper she handed him. Looking at it, he said, "yeah, that's your room number. Don't worry, it's pretty easy to find the right room around here. Come on, I'll lead the way."

He went up the stairs and headed down a hall that would have her room on it. "Looks like this is it," he stopped in front of a door with a number that matched what was on the sheet of paper. "Did you get a key from anyone?"

((Possibly. Feel free to add your own stuff too. Like if your character sees a figure dash around a corner or get the erie sensation that they're being watched. Or that they get to the ice cream shop and order their favorite. It's easier for me to play out a situation if I know more detail about what each character is doing or thinking. Are they distracted talking to each other, nervously looking around, etc. There's lots of play you can do to bridge the time before something happens. I pretty much play at the pace of the players because I don't want anyone feeling left behind.))

Picking up her suitcase she followed Drew as he headed up the stairs and down the hall. She kept glancing around as they went, hoping to remember the way so as not to get lost later.

Ríabhca set down the suitcase and rummaged around in her pockets, muttering under her breath, "Key...I know I got a key...has to be here somewhere...." Then finally, with a triumphant grin, she found her key "Ha! Here it is!"

She proceeded to unlock the door and picking up her suitcase, moved smoothly into the room. Ríabhca set the suitcase down in a corner where it wouldn't be in the way and made a quick inspection of the room before turning back to Drew.

Drew marveled at the way Riabhca moved as she entered the room. It was graceful, yet something more than just that. A week of being here was short enough that he still was somewhat taken back by the fact that everyone here was so different. Subtle changes, probably unnoticeable if you weren't expecting them.

He put the duffle bag he was carrying down next to the suitcase Riabhca had sat down. As she looked around, he just stood there and watched her. She was pretty and friendly, but he still couldn't fully get over the fact that she was a mutant. He tried to remind himself that he was too and others could be like him, but he was still waiting for a little more proof before he allowed himself to fully believe that. Any mutant would have to prove themselves to him before he trusted them.

When Riabhca turned to him, he pulled himself out of his thoughts. "I guess I should let you get settled in here," he said with a nod. "I was on my way to ... do something. See ya around?"
