First of all, God will never leave you or forsake you. I know it feels at times like everyone else has, but the only one that matters eternally is always by your side. Having gone through a similar experience, I hope I can provide some help to your situation. The most important thing God laid on my heart very early in the process was to start forgiving as He forgave me. I had to forgive my spouse for what she was choosing to do, the man she had chosen to do this with and myself for the negative contributions I had made to the marriage. Forgiveness, I quickly learned, is a daily process that has to be handled proactively. I had to take the "bad" thoughts I had about any of the parties involved, realize that they were destructive, and choose to hand them over to God. When I would hand them over, He was faithful to ease the pain they had caused and give my mind other thoughts to dwell on such as scriptures, praise songs or someone to pray for. Another thing God laid on my heart is how important marriage is to Him. I had to be willing to completely forgive my spouse and take her back if she had repented. I will be praying for you today, but I have to cut it short since I'm about ten minutes late getting out the door for work! It's only meetings today, anyway . I will check back in tonight. Bless you brother for sharing this with me.I will be honest with you though,it was hard for me to read.Just today I asked God to forgive me for the thoughts I have been having towards my husband now.Just last night as he came home very late,and of cource made many excuses.There I was thinking oh please you must think I am stupid.I was feeling very angery and saying things under my breath.I am not doing as good in all this,as I thought I was.Hard for me to admit this to anyone.God knows I am trying to forgive him and give it to him.But,I am so weak in this!I feel so alone and am hurting so much,how can I forgive him? I want to so much,because I know God forgives me so I must forgive him as God forgives me also.I am asking God to soften my heart and show me how to forgive,and give it to him in the mist of all the pain.As I am sitting here writing this tears all falling down with so much pain.I know that God see's my heart and hears my prayers and is working in the mist of this.He is everything to me,but,I feel like I am failing him in this.Thank you for writing.Need to go and spend some time with God and get some comfort.....

Hi Hope...And did He not give you the comfort you needed today?! Praise God...He comforted us both today! Isn't it good to know that He shows us His love through one another! I am still sitting here feeling so blessed in the midst of the heartache that you and I both share. We will get through this storm. God will carry us through to the end. People may let us down and they may leave us but you know that He says He will never leave us or forsake us. We have to hold on to that promise. I am so glad that he brought you and I together through this forum. Praise God!

I have to go to bed, so I'll keep this short. My wife and I will be praying for your strength in the situation (which is Christ Jesus' strength of course Phil 4:13) and for your husbands salvation and repentance.
Pray without ceasing. Learn to think in prayer. Don't let your mind have an idle moment. Take every opportunity to speak to your Creator who loves you. In Ephesians 6 we put on our armor to go into battle. the next thing Paul says to do after putting on your armor is to pray. Prayer is the best weapon you have.

Yes,he did!! God is so good,he always hears our cries and listens to us.I am so happy he has brought us together in him.I enjoyed talking to you today,talk about so many things in common sister... Thank you sister for being here to encourage me along this path.It means so much to me,more then words can express.God told me I wouldn't have to walk this path alone and he was right!You know the neat thing God is showing me that as long as I give it to him and rest in him.There is nothing he can't do in this.I think that alot of the time when we are in pain,we can't see anything good in it all.Well,for me that was the case in all of this.I sat here worring and wondering "Why God haven't you given me a job yet"? And then God showed me why,it is in his perfect timing not mine but his.He has a work to do in me first,before,he gives me my job.I know that now and am a willing child of God to learn and listen to what ever he has for me.He also showed me that it is his will for me and my son to leave here,but,not until he is ready and again in his perfect timing.So I am waiting on God to show me his way and his perfect timing in my life!!!!I have fogiven my husband and pray for him everyday as God would have me do.That God may show his love through me to him.I'm not scared anymore of the unknown because I know God is in control now.Faith is in things un-seen,I am learning this now.I give all the glory to God!!! When you wrote that you knew you would'nt have to do this alone. That was wonderful. God never leaves our side ever. The problem is "us" in not taking the time to notice He is there. In my hardship in my life right now God has been there for me. If I wasn't searching to Him speaking to my heart; I don't know how I would of handled the low times in my life. When your hubby told you he did'nt love you that was God tapping on your shoulder and saying look at me. Whether God restores your marriage or you go off on your own God wanted something better for you. Keep seeking Him for he will never leave you. You're in my prayers.

When we are at our lowest is when we see Gods hand more.You are so right,in saying God was tapping me on the shoulder.I turned my back on God for so long,he was there I just didn't see him,I was running away.Our God is such a loving God!!! He has forgiven me for all my sins and has given me a new hope in him.May we be Gods hands and feet and go where he sends us.May we always know he is in us and loves us so much.That there is nothing that God can do for us.All we have to do is trust in him,and believe in him and know he is GOD,and loves us so much.He catchs us when we are falling,looks on us with love and compassion.Not who we are are what we have done but because of who he is.We are his,his children.And he loves us so much.He hears us when we are calling and shows us who we are in him.In Christ I can do all things,all we have to do is listen and believe he lives in us to show us him in all things.God bless you today and all days sister.
