I've struggled with anxiety, negative thinking, and more worry and fear than I'd like for at least the last few years, probably longer. This year, however, I want to change that the best I can and become more positive. To help boost my positive thinking, I've started this thread, where I will make a post about something I'm happy about every day this year (or at least as many days as I can).

I'm thankful that this new year provides new opportunities for a fresh start and improvement. I pray that with God's guidance and the support of my friends, I'll achieve my goals this year.

Has God told you what His goals for you are this year?

Your idea is good. Can I give you a little twist to it? Find several new and distinct things every day to be thankful to God for. And think about your image of God. This thought comes from Romans 1: 21. When you get a correct image of the person and character of God, and give him both glory and thanks, you'll find a lot of your anxieties will diminish. And you'll avoid the other things that the verses after 21 say happened to people.

Good luck with this - if you keep it up, it should help. Fear and anxiety sometimes makes us forget the good.

At the start of 2017, I felt anxious almost 24/7. I'm sooo thankful that I'm not that way anymore and didn't feel that way at the start of 2018.

I'm making another stuffed animal now and for some reason it's going a lot quicker and easier than the last one. I'm not sure why that is but I won't complain, it's great.

Happy that I beat the final boss in Kirby Triple Deluxe yesterday! I'm still not at 100% yet but I know I can get there.

Outside there's snow all over, and inside it feels nice and cozy. Winter is so lovely.

The snow looks so pretty when it's sparkling in the sunlight. And listening to music, especially Christian music, is good for my mood.

Thankful for all the good things God has given me. Glad to be a part of this community.
