Curious to know...

How many of you use MP3's rather than CD's? If so, where do you get them - ripping from your own CD's, or illegal download?

I do, to play files on a computer and for long car trips (I create data CDs with my MP3 files).

And they're all from ripping my own CDs. I just like to make my own mixes of songs from different CDs.

I transfer my cds to tapes.

Tapes for when I'm driving...CDs for when I'm the passenger.

I rip my favorite CDs to mp3 so I can listen to them at work without having the CD. I actually do the same at home too- I can then put Winamp on shuffle and listen to my whole CD collection instead of just the 5 discs that are in my player.
