  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I always say 'im going to lose some weight and get fit', but its just so hard to keep motivated. I can keep it up for a few weeks maximum before i steadily forget about it! Anyone else have the same problem? Or have any suggestions?

Paradoxically discipline is also a skill you learn through constant effort.

What works for me is to make reasonable goals that one can stick to and do them over the long term rather than trying to overdo it for a few weeks. Devoting a small portion of each day to outline goals and then at the end of the day see which goals were attained.

Remember, the only thing that will ever express what you value is to act upon what you value, as an unrealized value is no value to you at all.

I did a recent Facebook survey to see why people stopped far short of their fitness goals, whatever those were. Lots of answers, but the clear, number one reason was "lack of motivation."

Statistically it takes way more than the endless cliches' that make up fitness advice to stay motivated. You actually can exercise, get and stay fit, and love doing it. But it will take more than forum answers to get to that point.
