...but I do know it can be really hard when people shun you because you are really having a problem that you can't control and they feel that you are just being silly.

I can sympathize with you on this point...I have emetophobia and people think that is something I should be able to control easier...but it's really, really hard...

She says "do you think it'll be ok?" and just seems to want tons of reassurance that doesn't stick anyways.

I just wanted to say that I actually know what your mom is going through there...I do that myself sometimes, especially when I get really stressed or sick or something. So don't get too mad at her over that...I'm trying to quit being such a wimp when it comes to asking for reassurance but trust me, it's really hard. I hope I can break the habit before I get much older though. With God's help I can...and I will be praying for you and your mom.

Yes, it is very tough, especially when people are condescendingly nasty to you and make you feel even worse for having the problem to begin with. I try and be as caring as possible towards my mom, cause I know how it feels to go through this.

Yes, I should try and be kinder towards her, well, I am pretty good towards her even when she wants tons of reassurance. It is a tough situacion because I don't want to enable her to keep it going, but I also want to help her.
