These are all interconnected in that you can't have one w/o the others if you want to follow Christ. But I would probably put Unity first in that is what Christ prayed for just before His passion in John 17. Being one with Christ begets the others. I voted for the 6th choice.

I agree with you, in part, at least. They ARE all interconnected. I do however, think varying levels of theological correctness will be found, and that in itself would not reduce the level of unity or mercy that can be shown. (in fact, it's a real opportunity to INCREASE mercy, as opposed to the other way around.)

I'm not going to argue anyones choice, though... this thread has zero to do with arguing what order you put them in, since they are ALL important.

I didn't really give it so much thought as to define it.

I was thinking more broad scope. For some, "theological correctness" means the basics, for someone else, it means every bit of Christian Minutae you can think of.

I voted Mercy, T.C. and then Unity... because I was thinking of the Theological basics. Others might see it differently.

we aren't called to be merciful in EVERY possible circumstance, I can think of LOADS of situations where showing mercy would not be the Biblical solution. We can't have unity without mercy.

and basically if we don't understand the truth properly, we can't love (God and man) properly. that's why we're given the Bible's moral guidelines. because the law is for correcting unrighteousness for those who are distorted in their understanding of the truth (aka, all of us)

I'd say this is sort of like the whole "faith, hope, and love" thing.

Which is the wellspring of the others? Mercy.

Then I must be a spoilsport and say both unity and theological correctness are equal.

I knew I forgot to put the "other" catagory. spoilsport. :p

I kind of think Charity falls under/with Mercy... can't have one without the other. Ther are far more attributes than listed, of course.... I was just interested in the order of these three specifically.

I had that notion myself.

I voted mercy, TC, unity.

Unity shouldn't come at the expense of truth (theological correctness)
