  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

While some prefer to eat organic because it makes them feel like they're supporting a more ethical way of farming, from a nutritional scientific standpoint, there's no evidence to suggest that going "organic", "GMO-free", etc... has any nutritional benefit as opposed to just going and picking up some fruits & veggies from the regular grocery store.

It's one of those things that's been hyped up for marketing purposes like the "gluten-free" movement...where, for the average person, there's no benefit, however, convincing people that there is will get them to spend double on what they think is healthier food.

I won't tell anyone how to spend their money, if they want to double their grocery bill to shop at the "all organic" store, and it makes them feel better to do so, then by all means go for it...however, just no, there's no scientific evidence that it's making you any healthier.

I'm sorry, I had to be "that guy" who attacks the source, but this is from the same website that also peddles holistic, homeopathic, and chiropractic medicine as real science (instead of a pseudoscience) and has their own hand picked studies to back up those concepts too. I lost all respect for that source when they started giving advice to mentally ill people that suggested that they stop taking Dr. prescribed anti-depressants cold turkey, and switch to "natural methods"

But you know one thing is. That I can prove what I has posted is the truth. Do you know how I can prove it? All I have to do is tell them to go on an strictly organic diet for two weeks and see what happens afterwards. You cannot hide the truth....

It's not as a simple as that "go on it for two weeks and see how you feel" is very prone to both the placebo effect as well as the power of suggestion in general.

I understand that there is a certain measure of corruption within certain pockets of the medical industry as it relates to the relationship that certain doctors have with Big Pharma, however, that doesn't mean that because some mainstream medicine has been subject to some corruption, that the alternative to mainstream medicine is true by default.

As James Randi said during his Ted Talk, "people have become so furious with Big Pharma, that they've enthusiastically run into the arms of 'Big Placebo', a field that's just as profit driven, and even less regulated"

Big Pharma has been keeping secrets about a lot of stuff. I remember in the mid 90's, A show called 60 minutes had a segment about the mercury in tooth fillings, that it caused all sorts of neurological problems. During that time, I had knew a old man. During that episode, about a few month later. I visited the old man. He has M.S. One time he had shown me all of his teeth, to let me know that he has all of them filled. I remembered the episode on 60 minutes. But I could not have the heart to tell him those fillings is the cause of his health problem. Because he thought that it was a big deal to have all of his teeth filled. I know another person that had a metal plate put into his head. His body rejected the plate that was put in his head which caused him to have his stroke which lead to paralysis. And foreign substance that is not natural that enters the body. That the body build up a defense to keep it from being apart of the body. But GMO's has an antibiotic resistance gene in it that causes the body's defense to be lower. And so if an bacteria or a virus enters the body. The body doesn't has enough strength to fight off the invader because of this gene. That is why some flu and colds are deadly. Because the body's immune system is not as strong as it was before.
And so if a person get a scratch on their body, that scratch might turn into a flesh eating bacteria because of not having enough antibodies in the body.
That video you had posted is by corporate america. They has put out many fake videos on the web to keep people from knowing the truth.

The new study warns that the microbes colonizing the gastrointestinal tracts of babies born prematurely are not health-promoting or even benign organisms, but close relatives of bacteria known to cause hospital-acquired infections, including Escherichia coli (E. coli), Klebsiella, and Enterobacter.
