It's akin to blasphemy IMO but I can't stop you either

I don't out right refuse that notion, but may I ask why it is? I mean Jesus is just as much a warrior as he is a pacifist; in Revelations he'll come down not as a humble man but as a armed god-king. What is the difference between paintings of Jesus as a warrior and making a playable piece of art?

Soul Caliber is a fighting game right? Personally I wouldn't, but i think it really depends on the game you are playing. I have a Jesus skin on minecraft and I think that is personally fine.

Yes it's a weapons based fighting game.

Revelation is a vision the John had that he wrote down, it's a metaphorical language generally and describes a spiritual battle sure, but not one fought in conventional means. Jesus' own ministry was far from violent therefore, your comparison doesn't actually fit Jesus at all.

Nah, like I said it's very traditional appearance with the robe and outer sash. Pretty much what you'd find in most religious art.

Ok, I'll agree that if Jesus did not have to die that I don't expect he'd support violent revolution against the Romans like other Jewish leaders would do in a few decades after his death. However I suppose I'll get to the point, what would make depicting Jesus in a playable fighting game different than painting a picture of Jesus? Like I said the point isn't to mock or insult so where is the blasphemy?

It might not mock or insult in your opinion, but it kind of does IMO. Jesus' life was lived uner the Roman conquest of Judea, therefore he lived his entire life practically in a society that was highly violent and warrioristic. Jesus' message in the gospels was one of peace and turning away from violence.

To make a fighter character of Jesus in that way, goes against the entire point of the message.

Ok, I certainly can understand that view. However not really in defense of my actions I just want to state that Jesus didn't seem to be 100% pacifistic. For one there is the whipping of the money changers in the temple, surely that could have been done without violence. Second would be the fact that one of his closest Apostles was allowed to carry a sword on him (St. Peter). Swords are for killing your fellow man, if Jesus was completely against the use of violence then why would he allow an Apostle to keep a sword on him? Finally many of the lines people interpret as pacifistic from Jesus honestly just seem matter of fact. "Those who live by the sword will die by the sword." doesn't say anything negative about this notion, just that if you use violence expect violence in return.
