I'm in the USA, so is that in metric or in the english system ?
:)

"60mph" is in the English engineering system but in metric it is about 100 km/hr

I see no reason to construct elaborate airy-fairy models when the reality is so simple and obvious --- the sunlight casts shadows on a rough surfaced dead moon. The changing lengths of the shadows can be observed in real time particularly near the terminator.
It's called theorizing (spitballing) and it's not airy-fairy theory, it's conspiracy theory.
Have you really no clue for the "why" of conspiracy?

Briefly, evil represented by Lucifer, is agenda driven (I'm sure you're familiar) and in executing his intentions, he conspires with his peers and as many humans as he's able. In turn, they conspire among themselves.
So you get environmental & industrial poisoning for satanic fun & human profit. Call it geo-engineering and nobody will ask questions.
That's the big picture, the grand illusion that all these more specific conspiracies serve in one way or another.

AH! RELIEF AT LAST ! (as Jesus once lamented over Jerusalem that HE would have helped the children of Jerusalem,
but they would not (they were NOT willing) ) ......
Now let's all observe what is possible , eh? (whether it takes a few minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years or even decades, as long as there is willingness as Jesus says, there is hope)

It is curious that the properties of sunlight and moonlight are fundamentally different. How would you explain that, my furry friend?

Actually, sunlight and moonlight are just about identical -- it's just that moonlight is much less bright (and very slightly less blueish).

Here are the spectra:

At long exposures, moonlight photos look pretty much the same as daylight ones (link):

So regardless of what phase the moon is in people here on earth should always see a light halo emitting completely all the way around the edge of the moon.

What you're calling a "halo" is actually the effect of clouds.

But that light halo is not always seen so that proves the moon is not lit by the sun.

Proves no such thing.

Then you'd be wrong.

According to you, and your painfully common school of academic thought - of course I am wrong. Your paradigm is manufactured for you, giving you the impression of intellectual freedom and progress - that is how you can reply the way you did without considering the vast majority of its implications (i.e. you don't care). But, most people fall for it, because it provides returns (recognition, agreement, pride, etc.); the whole world thinks like you, and gets their information from the same manufactured sources, so it would be dangerous for you and your psyche not to be part of the academic status quo: we know how people treat others who don't believe in "science", as it were: in that respect, I understand your position completely.

But, I can't go forward with conversation with you. It isn't because you disagree with me; I have great conversations with academics who vehemently disagree with me all the time - even in this thread and on these forums. Your mentality would be the first chore to penetrate before we even have a decent exchange - which isn't worth the argument right now. I see your posts in these forums, so I can gauge what our exchange would be like. And, this is on things beyond science as well (i.e. the Most High God). No need to bring the rancid taste of C.F. "10-page prideful and depricating 'debates'" back to my mouth regarding this thread - especially after I was actually enjoying an exchange on this thread (despite disagreements).

Also, I don't really care if you think I am wrong. Does that make sense?

Well I could be wrong, I guess statistical methods and photo filters could displace the presumption that God was being truthful when He confirmed there were 2 great lights in Gen 1:16. Or not.

They used filters at all times on all view systems.

Indeed, their helmets had those gilded shades precisely due to the problem of sunlight. The windows on the CM and LM also. And of the cameras, Alan L. Bean famously burned one of them out by accidentally pointing it at the sun on Apollo 12.

The moon is indeed a great light. On many a dark night, I've been thankful for its light.

The fact that the mechanism by which it lights up the night is sunlight-reflection does not contradict Genesis.
