i noticed that in almost all of the final fantasy games, with the exception of 7 (where theyre called mogs) and 8, where they dont have any (if i do remember) are called "moogles"

oh and if anyone knows any moogle sites (with moogle pictures) please just PM them to me (you dont need to post them) im contemplating on getting one maybe on my hip/lower admominal area...

theyre just so cute!

and so helpful, and they turn into your slaves in FFIX...

I wish there were a game where you could shoot moogles. Kupo THIS <BLAM BLAM> kuppoooooooo....

Actually moogles are kinda cool, I just wish they looked different. That ball on their heads gives me the creeps. Its like they killed a clown just to poach the nose and stuck it on their heads as a trophy.

:D I know right? It does look rather odd.

Anyways, Mogs or moogles are really cool. They've been in the final fantasy series since the beginning and add a nice little touch to the games.

LOL!

I haven't played all the Final Fantasy games, so I don't know, but I don't seem to recall them being in Mystic Quest. Of course, I have no idea where MQ fits into the FF 'canon', so to speak, so I'm just lost.

Moogles rule.

I'm pretty sure they were in FF8. They did not play a major role, but I'm pretty sure they were there.

i did everything in the game, and i didnt see any moogles. its a shame really because moogles would have been good in ff8. im glad they were in 9, but 9 wasnt a very good game, it was good in its own rights, but not a good story line.

Oh. Well, that shows how good my memory is regarding FF8.
i remember the Moombas though. I guess the Moombas were supposed to replace Moogles, or perhaps they were some sort of evolved form of moogles... or not.

Um, not really. They aren't in FF I and MQ at the very least. I believe the prototype for them occurred in FF II (the real II, not FF IV ET), where they were called "beavers." In addition, they weren't in any FF for the gameboy.

FFTA was the only real FF game on Game Boy. The ones for the orginal game boy (FF legends and FF adventure) were actually a different series given the FF name in the U.S. to boost sales. They are actually part of the Secret of Mana series, I believe.
