I agree.First, I shall examine the "pertaining to men" issue. I notice that many women who won't wear pants because they "pertained to men first" will still wear sneakers/athletic shoes, sweatshirts, sweaters, T-shirts, and boots, all originally "men's attire". So, even though they are trying to be feminine by never wearing pants, they are still wearing some things that "pertain to men". Hey, what about denim? In the form of a skirt or pants, it was originally men's material. I mean, think about it.
As far as modesty: Pants outline the shape of both legs. On males and females. Wearing loose- or normal-fitting pants should not pose a problem. As far as that goes, I have seen many skirts that are less modest than pants. Long ones that have slits clear up the length of the leg. Those can't be too modest. Skirts that are too short, and ultra-form-fitting skirts that really emphasize the rear and hips are not modest. I say that both skirts and pants can be modest, just as there are ones that are immodest. Nobody's really going to be happy unless we all went back to wearing robes like the Bible days... and even then someone will be offended.
If a woman feels convicted to wear only skirts or dresses for whatever reason, she is to be commended for that. What I don't like is when one who has this conviction has a "holier-than-everyone-else" attitude.
I only wear skirts... for several reasons. The first is, i've noticed that the more pants look feminine, the more they're immodest. I want to be feminine and modest. The second is i had to wear pants at school for sport and i didn't feel comfortable at all with them. To be frank i felt the look from the guys was different (it was only a feeling, i have no proof to ascertain if it was founded). The third reason is i think skirts are prettier.
