Modern day systemic racism, does it exist?

Their history is worse! Slaves that was sold and brought to the west indies (Caribbean's and Bahamas) had it much worse than slaves sold to the United States. Their ancestors had it much worse than ours.
But it wasn't based on race. It was often POWs that were sold off

I guess my family got missed by the Gestapo that was rounding us up and herding us into those trains bound for the ghettos.
The trains were transportation to the camps. The ghettos is where they gathered up the Jews so they could not invade white neighborhoods. Now they just do it with redlining.

In the Caribbean, however, they escaped Jim Crow.

You missed the point.

First, black people in the US were not forced to stay in ghettos, and still aren't. I know too many people who never went (such as my family) and who left.

Asians had their "ghetto" period as well, remember.

Nor, we're discovering, does taking a person out of the hood take the hood out of the person..

It all boils down to culture. We had reasons our culture was dysfunctional, but those reasons no longer stand to keep us dysfunctional. We remain dysfunctional by choice.

ADOS were not forced to abandon marriage...we did that by choice, and only in the last 50 years.

ADOS were not forced to education as an aspiration...we did that by choice, and only in the last 50 years.

ADOS were not forced to abandon speaking standard English,...we did that by choice, and only in the last 50 years.

Those are cultural dysfunctions we chose, and those ADOS who refuse to practice them do well in America today.

The Caribbean is also where they worked slaves literally to death on the sugar plantations

No; slaves that were purchased from African slave traders all came from the same places.
And you know this how? From the white history books?

Before I answer that question; how do you think Africans were captured and brought to this country as slaves?
There were many ways. Arabs controlled most of the slave trade in Africa and Asia. They saw themselves as Caucasians above black Africans. Aside from that there were bounty hunters that tackled and shackled slaves. When white slave traders bought out the slave stock that was for sale, they enslaved the tribes who couldn't meet the demand. They made tons on money just for packing them in head to toe hoping that half of them would survive the journey.

So the problem of racism in America is due to black ignorance? They pump drugs and guns into our neighborhoods in order to divide and conquer. The whole war on drugs was just a ploy to be able to watch and record people's activities. They still use drugs to obtain slave labor in prisons. Blame black people all you want but it's the white man that but them in the situation

That't North Africa; I'm not talking about that, those slaves didn't come to the USA, the USA purchased slaves from West Africa. How did those slaves get captured and brought to the USA?

So the white man just continues to manipulate back people into using drugs and killing each other, and we don't have the ability to resist the awesome manipulative power of the white man, so we have to implore the white man to be nice to us instead of being mean to us.

That says black people are children.

Like I said, most were POWs. Europeans laid out the trans Antlantic slave trade. Buying slaves when they could and tackling and shackling when they could. The whole aim was to fill up boats to the rafters with slaves however they could get them. You wanna blame black Africans for the slave trade? They didn't have the ships

Or it says that white men work day and night to corrupt.

So according to you, a half dozen or so men from the US would get on a cargo ship, spent 2 months to reach Africa, go to a village of 300-400 people, and somehow these 6 men (armed with single shot muskets that take 3 minutes to reload for a second shot) were able to chain up at least 300 villagers (armed with spears and shields) and put them on their ship? Is this how you are claiming it happened? Did I leave anything out?

I think you left out the fact that the trans-Atlantic slave trade was based on race. They weren't stacking up white bodies in slave ships. Why are you championing the cause of the white man's slave trade? Do you think it was helpful?

Please explain how you think a half dozen men armed with single shot muskets (technology of that day) were able to force hundreds of men with spears into chains. If that were possible, Amistad would have never happened.

Justify your white masters crimes however you feel you need to but I'm sure there were more than a dozen muskets involved. Why justify the trans Atlantic slave trade? You can blame your brothers for the slave trade but it doesn't cover how the stacked up bodies in those slave ships. You may think it's no big deal but it was. Not only that it was made aw that only blacks could be enslaved. Make your excuses for that too. It would be pretty entertaining.

I generally don’t recommend books, but there is a book called Barracoon that I think will give you insight into what happened.
In the 1920’s a News paper editor from New York interviewed the last ex slave (Cudjo Lewis) who was captured in Africa and brought to the USA, and this book is his story. He speaks of how as a kid living in his village, the King from the Kingdom of Dahomey went to his village leader demanding supplies and when his village leader said no, the Dahomey warriors raided his village later that night, capturing everyone; himself included. They were marched for days to the sea shore where they were chained and put in holding pins (Barracoons) till customers from the USA came and purchased him and hundreds of others. At this time importing slaves from Africa was already outlawed in the USA so they were smuggled into the country where they were sold. Shortly afterwards the US Civil war broke out and a few years later, they were all freed. Because many from that slaves from the ship were still in the area, they got together bought some land and formed a community calling it Africatown; a community still existing today from the decedents of those slaves; located north of Mobil Alabama.
He goes into great detail of his ordeals, he was captured by the Dahomey Kingdom (the reason many blacks were appalled by the recent move Woman King is because they put the Dahomey warriors in a good light when they were actually slave traders) but there were also other kingdoms that did this; Manikongo, Bambara, and many others. Anyway, I’m sure you won’t believe me, but perhaps if you do some research or read a few books on the subject you might learn a different perspective.
