It doesn't hurt anyone to read a story now and then that is not from the left-wing media. We need to listen to one another.
"We need to listen to one another." That is not what you are saying. You are saying I listen to the leftist stuff, now you can listen to the rightist stuff. That isn't listening to one another.

Who needs "left wing media"?

I saw this item on a senate.gov web site and then watched Sen McConnell's speech:

12:33 p.m. Republican Leader McConnell is speaking on his time in the Senate and announced he is stepping down as Republican Leader in November.

In his speech he said nothing about the 2020 election or HR 2. It would seem the NYpost is pulling your leg.

His refusal to work on the Republican House passed H.R. 2 for border security, and even worse coming up with a bill to promote a continued border invasion, sealed his fafate.
As disgusting as he is. His blocking of garland for a year, and rushing through barret. By the way flipping the scouts was his achievement, not trumps. His blocking of lots of legislation, his recognizing Trump led an insurrection but refusing to convict him in the senate.

Unfortunately there are far worse Republicans, those that actively supported the insurrection and would have sought to illegally throw out votes due to the alternate electors fraud. The republican party of today is corrupt and rotting

The senator had been under increasing pressure from the restive, and at times hostile wing of his party that has aligned firmly with Trump. The two have been estranged since December 2020, when McConnell refused to abide Trump’s lie that the election of Democrat Joe Biden as president was the product of fraud.

His refusal to work on the Republican House passed H.R. 2 for border security, and even worse coming up with a bill to promote a continued border invasion, sealed his fate.
There are laws in place as to how one is to enter the US ... it is not being followed ... because of this we are experiencing ill effects in many ways and this will continue until ... if and when ... laws regarding entry into the US are followed.

Time will tell.

Republican-passed bill removes role of Democratic governor if Senate vacancy occurs in Kentucky

[The bill's sponsor] said the measure has nothing to do with McConnell, but instead reflected his long-running policy stance on how an empty Senate seat should be filled.

[A veto-proof number of his colleagues apparently had the same long-simmering concern and find now to be the right time to act.]
At first I thought this was a bill to force the governor to pick someone from the same party or a list provided by the legislature, but instead it just removes the power of appointment from the governor and leaves it to a special election which is how US Senate vacancies are filled in North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin.
