One Missouri GOP candidate has incorporated book burning into her campaign. Valentina Gomez, who is running for secretary of state, posted a video of herself burning public library books with a flamethrower.

Missouri state Sen. Denny Hoskins won with 24.4% and will face Missouri state Rep. Barbara Phifer, a Democrat, and Carl Herman Freese, a Libertarian, in November.

When asked Wednesday about the results, Gomez said she “made history in the name of Jesus Christ.”

“I was a nobody and God transformed me into one of the most feared, respected, and loved women in American Politics."

Last year, you may recall that candidate for governor Bill Eigel used a flamethrower on empty boxes to demonstrate his position on woke books and the liberal agenda. Metaphorically speaking.

Partygoing sources said Gomez appeared to enjoy herself at the Voss Events-hosted gathering [that took place approximately one year before the flamethrower incident].

In a statement, Gomez confirmed the veracity of the videos.

“You guys call me homophobic and an enemy of the pronoun community, but I was waiting for this video to surface so that I can show your hypocrisy because clearly I was having a great time, and I get along with everybody,” Gomez said in a written statement."

During her campaign, Gomez, who called herself an “America First-MAGA” Republican, made national headlines with vitriolic statements, labeling gay people as “groomers” and “█████”. She also specifically attacked drag queens.

Is it just me, or is there a delicious irony in her claiming she wasn't homophobic by referring to trans and nb folx as "the pronoun community"?
