One of my members just returned from India. She was working with one of the crusades for three weeks. They work several villages (quite large actually) at once. They wound up with 22,000 baptisms for the effort, and she was overwhelmed by the Spirit's working there. She witnessed a number of demons cast out, and a leper being healed.
Of even more interest to me was her account of the work there the last 6 years. Before the year 2000 she said that they planted one church in two years. After 2000 the Spirit was poured out and they planted 1,000 churches in 1,000 days.
We often hear that it is because they have no money, and no hope that people respond in places such as India. But it appears rather that it is a choice of God. The Spirit is poured out and does the work.
Isn't this what was always said would happen? This kind of growth has happened in various places, in South America, in Russia, etc.
Let's pray for them there, and for us as well. Time is short! And we have a great hope.
