Out of curiosity, are you saying that it's in the Bible or that God personally tells you the answers?
I tried a similar line of questioning with dad. He avoided answering. In fact the way he avoids answering questions like this is significant, it's rather as if a sensitive area is being probed, and he doesn't like it. Just watch how he answers these sort of enquiries in this thread. He flusters and changes the subject as fast as possible, rather like a criminal caught red-handed trying to escape before anything can be pinned on him.

It's a good question though, because picking through the jumbled nonsense, evasion, fantasy and gobbledygook he posts a theme emerges of dad believing himself to be the recipient of certain special insights revealed to him alone. From this it follows that dad believes himself to be in direct communication with God, or, alternatively, to actually be the new messiah. It is noticeable that dad continually refers to the limits of human intelligence compared to God, but excludes himself from man's error strewn intellect, preferring to position himself next to God in terms of knowing the truth and infallibility. The implications of this aren't very positive as far as dad's mental health is concerned. Psychiatric hospitals are full of people with these sort of delusions. Paranoid schizophrenic wards, I believe, are teeming with them. I do hope dad isn't unwell in the head, but his posts would indicate otherwise. If he is bonkers I would urge him to seek treatment before his delusions get worse and he becomes a danger either to himself or others.

If, however, he's just a boring troll trying to boost a fragile ego then he's not worth bothering with.

And dad ignored my questions. What a surprise.

He's a troll.
You not liking the answers I gave doesn't mean that answers were not given. I replied to your post. Mostly as a courtesy, as I don't recall much substance to it, Tman.

I almost asked if he was communicating from a secure hospital but it seemed a little unfair.

I suppose I just don't understand the huge mental block on rationality folk seem to have when it comes to matters of religion.
Hey, either you have the goods or not. I do not just believe you don't. I proved it, by your failure to be able to produce anything but present state religious views. Your postition is highly insecure.

So, let me get this straight. You figure anyone busting so called science is magical. OK. Sometimes I wonder if you spent as much time doing research, and presenting support for your claims, as you do in this sort of post, you might grow to be interesting one day.

That may very well be the case, but my failure to convince you of my position doesn't prove your case is correct.

Quoted for truth. Don't forget his "revelation" that he is now "God's little echo."

You continue to be purposely obtuse. He (correctly) figures that anyone claiming Divine infallibility, as you do, is deluded. :preach:

Yeah, I just wish I had something better to do with my time.

Perhaps you could start your next post with "We know the Bible is accurate because...".
All should be privy to that information by now. God's been proving it for generations and generations, even before Jesus got here thousands of years ago. We may accept the bible as evidence now.

Presumably there was some compensating mechanism to prevent Adam freezing to death?
You miss the point. It was not present state state matter, that gets hot, then requires long and extreme cooling. Adam was quite comfy in that garden with his new gal, God sent special delivery. Ever wonder where the idea for a gal in a cake came from?? :)

Having all the authority of God from the bible, is not the same as being infallible. If God says Adam lived, Adam lived. If someone didn't doubt God, and His word to begin with, I might be concerned at their doubting me believing it in my own little way.

And you know that because.. it's in the Bible?

Do you not see any problem at all with that reasoning?

The Roman empire became the holy Roman empire for a reason. The calendar is set to Jesus for a reason. Millions died to verify the gospel for a reason. We have books of the bible written by real people for a reason. Trying to cast out anything because it is in the bible is absurd. Especially since the book is proven by fulfilled prophesies. It has God's stamp of authenticity on it.

Replying to a post isn't an answer if you don't, you know, answer the question. But that's best left for reality, this is the HI Theory.

With the HI Theory, refutation is futile because it's always met with a . Often acompanied by something made up.

Remember, never underestimate the power of the  and it's easy to make things up.

Where in The Bible does it say that the laws of physics were different before the time of Peleg? NO WHERE.

Where does it say in The Bible that God wrote any of it (other than perhaps the first 10 commandments?) NO WHERE.

Yes, we doubt you. You have provided no reason to do otherwise.

The areas Rome ruled to a large extent, including Rome, became ruled by those claiming a Christian faith.

"...Charlemagne (pronounced /ˈʃɑrlɨmeɪn/; Latin: Carolus Magnus or Karolus Magnus, meaning Charles the Great; 2 April 742 – 28 January 814) was King of the Franks from 768 to his death. He expanded the Frankish kingdom into a Frankish Empire that incorporated much of Western and Central Europe. During his reign, he conquered Italy and was crowned Imperator Augustus by Pope Leo III on 25 December 800...

Today he is regarded not only as the founding father of both French and German monarchies, but also as the father of Europe: his empire united most of Western Europe for the first time since the Romans,...

You don't see any problem with that reasoning either?
The reasoning has nothing to do with it! The facts do. Fact is Jesus sets the calendar, regardless of who reasoned what!

Anywhere and everywhere it talks about what it was like before the flood, and even right after it!

Where does it say in The Bible that God wrote any of it (other than perhaps the first 10 commandments?) NO WHERE.

Jesus said that His words would not pass away. Heaven and earth (as we know it) will pass away, but not the word.

119:89 - For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. The word of the Lord came unto....all kinds or writers of the bible. The red letter edition is the words of Jesus. God speaking to man is what it is all about.

The Roman empire was still alive and kicking at the time the Holy Roman empire was founded. The first Christian Roman emperor, Constantine, moved the capital to Constantinople (Istanbul), and Rome was later lost to the Visigoths. A few hundred years later the Pope later made Charlemagne Roman Emperor to try get out from under the thumb of the Roman empire, but the Holy Roman empire was essentially a new Germanic empire to compete with the existing Roman Empire (and for a good portion of its history didn't include Rome).

The Roman empire was ruled by those claiming a Christian faith long before the founding of the Holy Roman empire, which was a different entity altogether. Its formation was more politically motivated than religious.
The reasoning has nothing to do with it! The facts do. Fact is Jesus sets the calendar, regardless of who reasoned what!
And that is as much subject to the same reasoning as anything else. The calendar of the Christian world is set to the birth of Jesus because they believed in the Bible.

All your reasons come back to "these other people believe it so it must be true".

OK. So, bottom line, the pagans fell apart, and the Christians, at least nominally, rose to ascendancy. The power of the gospel facts of the life of Jesus is a real and powerful force.

All your reasons come back to "these other people believe it so it must be true".
Ah, but is it really!?? How would we know? That is just the surface reasons that we can see. There could be more to it. That is the problem with carnal thinking, it only scratches the surface. I don't mind that so much, what is pathetic, is that they presume to know almost all things by this little superficial smattering of facts they manage to glean. Like so called science! They look at the present, and presume to divine the future and past from it!
