• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Man, can you believe the weather they've been getting for the last week? I can not fathom what they've been through. First there was a winter storm warning that lasted more than 48 hours straight. Now they're looking at another 12-22" in the next 24 hours. :help:

Even the snowmen have packed it up and moved to Essexville.

Moving back to MI, gonna live in GR this time. Not the best place to live, but good enough for now.

BTW, I have a trivia question for all the good "trolls" from the lower peninsula:

Which town in the geographic center of the mitten?

St. Louis, MI claims to be the geographic center of the LP. I knew someone from there once.

More than a claim. The National Geographic Survey actually erected a pillar at the exact spot. It's in a park on M-46, just east of the lake.

BTW, you're making a good move going to GR...they at least have a decent number of available jobs.

Born and raised in Sparta (10 miles N of GR), moved to Kent City (20 miles N of GR) in '98 I think. Left my family behind in 2001 to experience the clear blue skies of Washington State. Those blue skies are up there above them dark clouds somehwere. :sorry:
