There are plenty of places, however a lot of them are not cheap, or they are very busy at lunch time! Some of the best are hole in the wall places with little parking.
Despite it's liberal bent, ann arbor is a culturally diverse town, and you can get just about any kind of food, if you know where to look. (and can navigate all the stupid one way streets)

Pizza House. I think it's on Church St. (nearest cross street is South University) in the campus area. great restaurant!

Angelo's has the best breakfast this side of anywhere

The Red Hawk on State St.

Grizzly Peak downtown (maybe Washington)

The Parthenon (Greek food on Main St)
