CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, it simply is not. A wall will cost billions, making e-verify as it currently exists, mandatory will cost millions.
This leaves aside the fact that the majority of illegal immigrants would not be in any way effected by the wall as they entered legally and overstated their visa.

A wall is not even that effective. A fence isn't either, but I'd be more willing to go along with it so that those folks can have their placebo.

I just can't get on board with it. It would cost billions to build and maintain for very limited impact, I cannot in good conscience support wasting that kind of money for peoples feefees.

Quite frankly, that's manure. There is nothing about the definition of a wall that means it has technology where a fence doesn't. The differences are in the foundations, typically speaking. Is the Great Wall of China not a wall because it lacks technology? This is shifting the definition to suit President Trump and his supporters. I'm kind of sad it works.
