Gratia Corpus Christi, that's a delightful statement.
A constant source of amazement to me is the resiliency of the YEC faction.
They ask a seemingly straight question (as in "A metaphor for what?") and then cannot handle the answer. Guys, if you don't like the answer, don't ask the question.
Much like Ken Ham, who, when asked what evidence he would accept to abandon his YEC fanaticism answered "None". That's his answer; Mr. Ham has publicly announced his complete and total disregard of reality in favor of his baseline conceit. Of course, if he looked at reality, he might have to get a real job to support himself. He reminds me of the huckster 'preachers' of the 1950s who supported themselves by attacking Rock and Roll music. No real substance, but the emotions evoked were sufficient to get donations.
If there is no metaphorical language in Genesis, then all of Jesus' parables are solid historical fact. Odd they're identified as parables, huh?
