Ok, here we go again... I will be posting on each scripture given instead of the group.
Ezek 36:25-27
In this chapter we see God relaying to the prophet that He is going to restore Israel to the promised land and that they will come back into a right worship of Him. In verses 25-27 it does not say that there will be an end of sin but that He will cleanse (forgive) them for their past transgressions when they put away their sinful behaviour. No different than what happens for us when we are cleansed (forgiven) through Jesus.
Ezek 36:25-27 says "And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." In other words they will not sin any longer.
Ezek 37:23,24
There is sooo much to dig into with this chapter but I will focus on the two verses in question.
Again we see, as in Ezek 36, that God will cleanse them from their past sins (v23) as they do as God has asked (v24)
Again, no mention of an end of sin but a promise of forgiveness, just as we have.
Ezek 37:24 repeats the notion that the statutes shall be kept... "And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments,
and observe my statutes, and do them"
Zeph 3:13,15
The language here in thsi chapter is directly related to Rev 18 and is speaking primarily of spiritual Babylon. While the description of the destruction of the literal Babylon was fulfilled in the beginning of this chapter, the primary focus is on spiritual Babylon. The remnant of Israel spoken of in verse 13 is refering to the 144,000 that will stand at the end just before Jesus comes. They have no iniquity or lying tongues or deceitfulness because they have been sealed as righteous and pure for they have overcome through the Holy Spirit as Jesus did. Reference 1 Peter 2:22 and Rev 14:5
A reference to an end of sin here but it is limited to the overcomers that stand waiting for Jesus' return.
There is no such thing. Nowhere in the OT does it say that the messiah shall come once, die and return a second time. Zeph 3:13,15 are clearly predicting the end of sin when the messiah arrives.
Zeph 3:13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
Zeph 3:15 The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.
Isa 60:21
The subject of this chapter is God's church, the body of true believers. It seems to cover from the time of Christ to the new earth. So this prophesy was and is being fulfilled as it covers the age of the Christian church.
No real mention of an end of sin here although God does say He will bless them...
It says all his people will be righteous. No sin. Get it?
Isa 60:21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
