I am intrigued about people who call themselves Messianic Jews who observe halacha since there are irreconcilable contradictions between the teachings of the New Testament and those found in the Talmud, which is the source of halacha and teachings of observant Judaism.

Shalom Duvduv, There is only one God and He does not contradict Himself. Could you be specific on contradiction that you see so that we can resolve them?

Blessings

A halachic jew believes thr Torah was given at Sinai alongside orally transmitted teachings, and follows the teachings contained in the Talmud, and recognize the rest of the prophetic books. There is no such acknowledgement of the books of the Christian writings. And of course halschs forbids the idea of God becoming a man. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

Shalom Duvduv, you have said that God cannot become a man. Do you intend to limited the power of God? God said that man is made in His image, this would suggest the possibility of some anthropological similarities. Aside from this possibility, and I am not suggesting that God is not pure spirit, we have God appearing to Moses as a burning bush and appearing to Abraham as a man in Genesis 18:1. Jacob wrestled with God in the form of a man in Genesis 32:24. It would seem that God can indeed become a man. I understand that this does not totally resolve the question of the humanity and divinity of Yeshua Messiah (Jesus) but it address the statement that you have made. I am willing to attempt to answer any specific question that you raise but you cannot expect me to debate the Halakhah (Jewish Law) and the 613 mitzvot as a general topic in this forum. Shalom and Blessings

To say thst God becomes man is a form of idolatry.
To say that a human became God is definitely idolatry, but to say that God took on a human body? I don't think that is. God can do whatever God wants.

You are addressing philosophical concepts that cannot be perceived by human reason. Of course God is omnipotent and omniscient. But the human body is a created limitation which cannot contain infinity. Indeed, you would ask why Jesus prayed to himself, why Jesus spoke of "my father," how God could be in personalized human body and running the infinite universe simultaneously, etc. But the bottom line is that worshiping a man as God is idolatry.
