Though I am 50yrs old and a good person, I feel the strong need to find a mentor in my area (Massachusetts or New Hampshire). There are times when I feel lost because I have no physical authority to answer to. No one that cares enough to institute appropriate consequences for my action and behavior. Maybe I'm foolish to think like this but I do. Any advice.

Greetings in the Name of Christ...

Your desire for a mentor and accountability partner is a wonderful thing. I'm not in your area, but would sugggest that you start by talking with your pastor, or a pastor in your area. I would also suggst hooking up with either of the Christian Colleges in your area (Gordon or Eastern Nazarene) and seeing if they might have a spiritual deepening course that you could participate in.

Don't give up on your quest for a mentoring relationship, it is a noble cause and will provide great spiritual dividends.

Peace,

WJ

Greetings in the Lord, Tom.

I too, would like to encourage you to speak with the pastors and/or elders of your church and express your needs to them. If you are not a member of a church and would like some help finding a church, under whose leadership you could be discipled, feel free to PM me and I'll do what I can to help you. I live in southern NH and will offer whatever I can for advice.

Sincerely in Christ,

~Jason
