Until tattoos took off into full fad status they were generally identified with specific sub-cultures: mainly military and bikers. Both of those sub-cultures are very male dominated, and so I don't find it surprising that many still associate tattoos with the masculine by force of culture. Granted they're fixed for the most part, but I tend to view tattoos in much the same light as make-up and jewerly, just body decoration. Much like either of those things when done right they can be very sexy, but excess is rarely pleasant.
Speaking of curvy, these magazines are getting way too racey now. I have to cancel my subscription to Esquire because they have taken Maxim magazine's cue. I just can't be feeding that side of me anymore.
Just recently?
Because CF will go positively CCCP worthy, Google Image 'Angie Dickinson Esquire 1966,' since I can't post it.
Ever notice that the women portrayed in women's magazines and fashions are super-thin, boy-like body types but women portrayed in men's magazines are curvy and shapely?
In other words, women are striving for the boy-like body type that society says looks good while men are drooling over the shapely variety.
I think if more women realized this, they'd spend less time trying to get that boy-ish figure and more time working their curves!
haha. i totally have my motorcycle license and i'm buying a cruiser next spring. i'm a walking stereotype! woot! now all i need is a she-mullet and i'll be good to go!
excess is relative as well. but i do agree with you on that. and i'm a fan of organized tattoos. ones that flow well. i'd rather not look like i belong on a nascar track with sponsor stickers all over me.
i'm working on making mine flow. but luckily for me - that means more ink.![]()
I will marry any woman, on the spot, who hast his as a tattoo:

Who needs Maxim when you got your local gas station?A guy I work with currently is totally taken in by Maxim Magazine...
I say whatever..I ain't taken with it at all. But sure enough there are plenty of pretty woman airbrushed in the mag.
Well in stereotypical biker culture women don't exactly need motorcycle endorsements on their licenses. There's a reason the back seat is the b***h seat. But hey, it's always refreshing to see a woman on a bike that isn't one of those little Japanese racing bikes.
Tattoos are okay, so long as it isn't on her lower back.![]()
HILARIOIUS STRAVINSKHeehee...got me thinking about a married couple who are friends of mine...she has the name of their 2 sons tatooed just above her buttox. I giggle at what he must be thinking every time they have sex in the hand's and knees position.
