They didn't design that with a straightedge, that's for sure.

honestly i think both ideals are misleading and women would do well to disregard both and just work on being healthy. not all men are attracted to one thing, just like not all women are attracted to one thing. So really the best thing we all can do is not to worry - the right person will be attracted to us regardless of whether or not we fit some ideal the media has picked for us.

i think that any one sex does not generally find any one particular trait attractive.
i've had many men say that they highly dislike tattooed women and that they are, as a general rule, not attracted to them...those same men have also said that i was beautiful and told me that they would like to pursue me. it's not due to the presence or absence of body art...nor the curves i possess (which are present.) it's because of the way i present myself.
my personality markets to a majority. at least i hope so.
you can find something beautiful in someone even if it is not your preference.
so i personally try to completely disregard what a certain man's general taste may be. i find it's more of a compliment if someone who wouldnt likely find themselves attracted to me, does.
and i focus on the way i'd like to present myself. if someone isnt attracted to me due to my curves, (or lack of for some women) or tattoos or hair color, as far as i'm concerned, i'm not missing out on much. : )

anyway...just thought i'd throw my completely random ramblings out there. : ) carry on.

I find the anti-tattoo thing fascinating. I personally don't have any tattoos, but I don't understand the comments on forums that will complain about tattoos, but then go positively gaga for someone like Megan Fox or Angelina. I get that maybe in the grand scheme of things they aren't Kat Von D or Jesse James' harem level, but still.

haha! i'm right there with you. i find tattoos fascinating. but i dont dislike someone simply because they dont have them. i would never count someone out because of that.

I agree, and I know it's off-topic, but again, this anti-tattoo thing fascinates me. :)

To me, dumping someone or writing them off because they have tattoos, seems a bit like writing someone off because they're blonde and you generally prefer brunettes, yknow? If you're not attracted to them, full stop, okay, whatever. Move on. But to be attracted to someone and dump them over something a little inconsequential like some tattoos seems a little much.

I personally don't have a problem with tattoos at all. I don't see how they could be such a big deal. I don't have any myself, but that's because I don't want any.
