Really? I know Austin is pretty liberal. Pretty strange, being a blue state in a sea of crazy red.
But I agree, Texas is a little far for me..

I think the whole red blue thing is crap. Both parties are the problem.
By blue I just meant it's a pretty LGBT positive city. I was shocked when I heard that too

Houston is actually a fairly socially liberal city compared to DFW, and most of Texas. I'm not sure about San Antonio, and Austin doesn't really count.

If we do a meet-up in Texas, I could come... and if we did a meetup in Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or maaaaaybe Kansas during Christmas break I could come.
That said, if we meet up in Austin, Waco, Temple, or Killeen, Texas; I will volunteer to be the on-the-ground organizer.
But if it's not in the list I gave in that first paragraph, I'm out. My parents/grandmother would look at me like, "You're going to Chicago for WHAT???????? Oh no you are not..." lol.
That said: I am trying to organize a Colorado meet up in December or January. (details here: http://www.christianforums.com/t2745673-5/) I was thinking Colorado Springs, because that seems to be the easiest point for all 5 of our Colorado people to get to. I guess... if people from other states wanted to come to that it would be good with me.

I had a dream about sharks last night.
It was odd cause I don't really seem to ever dream, but last night I had one.
It was weird too.... I was being dropped off by a boat to an island somewhere.
I jumped in the water...... saw a couple sharks and I was back in the boat......
(Hey I didnt say it was an exciting dream
)I woke up shortly after cause I has a terrified of sharks.
Ill face my fears, but we do it on my turf...... not theirs.
I like my odds better on land.
