Isn’t it my job to listen to my patients and believe what a parent says happened to her baby? Isn’t that what all doctors do with their patients? After all, I don’t want a child to receive a medical treatment that could cause more harm. I am going to first do no harm, every time.​

to that I give the following retort

as a doctor, you use what the parents tell you to "aid" your acquisition of facts and data. Specifically, you examine the child to VERIFY what the parents are telling you. Why? Well, for starters, parents aren't doctors and they aren't experts in medicine. So a doctor should NEVER take a parent's diagnosis as to what the problem is. Doctors need to determine the truth and turn over every stone and be unencumbered by the emotion that parents are submersed in.

I'd hate to remove a doctor's medical license, but in this case, perhaps it is warranted. Of course, the medical board would have more information/expertise in making the decision. but this guy sounds like a quack if ever there was one...
