I'm not sure as to what salad but I found that really shocking! You make think when you go there and get a salad over a burger it's a healthier choice but it isn't! Also, something disgusting that I found out is that you might have a thousand cows in one hamburger because there all ground together and oh it's just so gross! :(
Yuck! I mean, I'm not going to stop eating there because I like their food. It does actually taste good. But I'd be willing to bet that it's the Taco Salad that contains all those calories. Surely their side salads contain less calories than anything else there. I mean, all it is is a normal salad and you get to pick the dressing. I usually get the Herb Vinaigrette because it's supposed to be low fat.

It is a shame that people are either to lazy to cook or really don't think that McD is not tooBAD. You are right this type of eating is slowly KILLING the youth of today, as well as others. "Personal Trainer"
I would never promote the consuming of a Big Mac and fries, and I am not too lazy to cook, FOR SURE, but, when in a hurry, or for a break, we will eat fast food. Most Fast food places, including those Golden Arches have some excellent food options now, salads, brown buns, yogurt and fruit, lower fat muffins, grilled chicken instead of fried, and they do serve water. And hey, a Big Mac once in a while does not hurt you.
Go ahead, have a groovy fast food experience! God Bless,J

I don't understand why people eat so much fast food. All that grease is enough to make me ill just thinking of it! I haven't eaten at a fast food restaurant in years. I usually pack my lunch. Nothing like a good cup of yoplait and a peanut butter sandwich to perk me up. ^_^

Of course since I lived in Europe for part of my life, during the mad cow outbreak, my entire family has pretty much avoided eating out altogether. I don't think I've ever had beef. Some things don't leave you when you leave Europe. And since hamburgers seem to be the main fare at fast food restaurants, they don't appeal to me, either. The closest thing I've had to fast food recently was a pre-made roasted chicken breast sandwich on wheat bread with lettuce, from Walmart's deli :)

its not mcdonalds that is the problem.... i think you're just in that "post-movie faze " where you are "so appalled" at what effects morgan spurlock got from eating mcdonalds ( let me add, 3 meals a day, of the worst foods on the menu ) i dont think we should point fingers at mcdonalds, but at ourselves, because honestly, if you cared REMOTELY for your weight and health, you would not dine out at mcdonalds 24/7. Fast food is bad, period. Junk Food = Fast food. mcdonalds provides modestly priced meals that everyone can eat, and in every town... if youve got the munchies, or are getting over a sad situation.

sit down and have a mcflurry. sit down, and tear over a small soda.....

so yeah, please dont diss mcdonalds. i havent eaten there in two years, and dont look to- because i have enoguh commonsense to avoid bad foods... but... i dont think mcdonalds is the reason americans are so darn fat. i say its the comfort factor.. comfort factor.. think about it

terrorrrr! there are rapists and thiefs and murderers on the street! dont let your chillun walk to school! keep em at home! ( and eventually all of us fatten up sooner or later ) its the friggen US keepin us scared all the time....

Whats the big deal? People are lazy and then like quick cheap food so they go get whats quick and cheap.
This thread makes me want to puke with the lack of personal responsiblity. Like somehow it is their fault for selling it instead of our fault for eating it. People need to get up off their fat lazy butts and read the contents of what they are eating. Oh wait,,that would require effort.
If people don't care what they look like or what they eat, i'm sure not gonna stand in their way to an early death. Its none of my business. All the information is out there.

I can't believe how outraged everyone is about this...it's just FOOD. If you don't like it, don't eat it, but don't ruin it for people who do. And Tuffguy, eating fast food does not make a person lazy.

That being said, I eat at McDonald's maybe once or twice a month..sometimes not even that often, but it's more of a money issue than a not liking the food issue.

Gee TuffGuy that is some tough talk. I agree with some of what you say, but you know food in stores has nutritional info right on the package, I think the restaraunts should have to publish the calories right on the menu. Then your argument would really hold water.

It kind of hacks me off just a little that when you go out, especially in a real sit down place, they schlep the swill they do, and try to tell you it is good for. Yet if you look at the average calory count on this stuff, it is way over 1000.

May our Lord continue His blessings to you Fitmom. I'm certain tough guy wasn't talking about you in particular.

Grace and Peace, it's all we have to give.
That's awesome, thanks for the encouragement,
I was not insulted by my passionate friend, Tuffguy.

It can be a big deal when it's unhealthy; eating unhealthy I feel is like a sin according to this verse: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. People should eat healthy and I think that eating almost all of McDonald's food is unhaelthy and should not eaten...
